So I’m thinking of making a solo trip for a few days to get a feel for the new systems as I play tour guide for my family when we visit. I need to activate my AP when I arrive. Should get there around 4-5 pm on a Monday in late October. Does it make sense to activate at Epcot for the later closing time and F&W? I’m a bit concerned about EH inflating the crowds. Planning on HS on Tuesday to try to get RotR BG and MK on Tuesday night if I can get walk up Boo Bash ticket and return to MK on Wednesday. Thursday I will improvise as will likely leave mid-day. Thoughts and recommendations appreciated.

Seems like Epcot would be as good a place as any to activate the AP. Since you'll need to go to guest relations first, I think that shouldn't be a problem right outside the entrance to Epcot. It's hard to tell what impact the evening EH will have on crowds yet!

Seems to me that a 'walk up Boo Bash' ticket in late October is going to be very unlikely, but you never know. The rest of the trip sounds good! Sounds fun to do a little solo trip to check things out for the family. Sounds like a great excuse!! Take good notes!

Supposedly any guest relations booth can sell you a Boo Bash ticket if they’re available. Nobody has tested it yet that I’ve seen a DP on but the BooBash thread had a couple people saying CMs have told them it is possible, so theoretically you should be able to try for one at DHS GR if that fits your schedule better.

I’m planning to ask about a Boo Bash ticket when I actIvate my AP which is just the day before. I am doubled up on hotel reservations at the moment and could stay at a deluxe for the EH, but BB is one hour more, less $ than a deluxe room, and has special treats so that sounded kind of fun. I’ll have to decide beforehand.
