...according to guest services.

I still have one unused child ticket from last years $99 "buy one adult, get one kids ticket free" offer. I bought them online in January 2006. There's no expiration date on it, but I'd heard they expired 12/31/06. To be sure, I emailed a copy of my ticket to Guest Services (I called first, and they said to email or fax a photo of the ticket). Here is their reply:

"Thank you for contacting Universal Orlando® with your ticket inquiry. We have checked your tickets for usage. These tickets are valid for two-parks/five-days and have no expiration until fully used. They are not valid for separate ticketed events such as Halloween Horror Nights® and Rock the Universe."

So it looks like those of us with these unused tix from last year can still use them. I would still email guest services to be sure (guestservices@universalorlando.com). I plan to print the email response and bring it with me on out trip in May just in case.

These tickets were introduced in September 2005. For the first few months, they did not label the child or adult tickets and did not have an expiration on any of the tickets. In fact, all the tickets were the same for both the child and adult. Then numerous abuses started mostly on eBay. On February 7th, 2005 the tickets were changed. The children's tickets were labelled and had an expiration. (The website first said they would expire in 4/30/06 and then changed it to 12/31/06 but in practice, there was no expiration for the tickets purchased before Feb. 7.)

You bought your tickets before the change. Many others did not. I remember when the tickets first came out and the website was saying they expired in April, I posted on this board that they did not expire. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=327215&page=18 Once they made the change, I also let this board know: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1018475

This is the old thread that explains that they have no expiration (even though the website said they did) : http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=991235

Thanks for that info. FWIW, my ticket does say CHILD on it, but does not mention an expiration date.

Ok, so I have one of these tickets that does not specify child or adult and does not have an expiration date and was never used. So, do I take this to mean it is still a valid ticket? Can it be used for an adult or child? We bought 2adult tickets and received two free child tickets, but the tickets were not marked so I do not know if we used the adult tickets or the "child" tickets when we went through the turnstiles. I just was sure to keep one ticket totally tucked away since I knew we would not be using one ticket at all since we are a family of 3.

We are going back to Universal the first weekend in June and I am trying to determine if this old ticket is good for 2 parks/5 days from first use. Should I email a copy to guest services to be sure?

Thanks!

Yes, that will be the only way to know for sure.
