Last year's Journal.....please see the new one!

To solve part of the food dilemna have Greg bring home a veggie platter each week and keep it in a cooler near where you are laid up and when you get the need to eat, whether it is from boredom or actual hunger you will have a ton of healthy options. If you need a dip have him put a lit or no-fat dressing in a little Tupperware dish.

You can stock up on books and maybe some crossword puzzles. HOw about buying a really nice, pretty journal and pen and you can journal your thoughts and your eating patterns, your frustrations etc. Another thing, and don't laugh, buy some crayons and a coloring book....you can work your way through the book and coloring can be very relaxing.

Just some more thoughts for ya.
 
and my favorite one...the coloring book!! I love to color!! Don't tell!!! Actually, i think my mom is going to be coming up for this surgery and may staya week or two...That should help! If I do gt the ankle replacement, I will be in PT again pretty quickly...so that would be a good thing!!! I will make it thorugh this!! Of course it is gonna take LOTS of help from others. Oh, and on the good side of things, I ate some sugar yesterday Peeps to be exact....I had it availalbe in my points, and my mouth feels like yuck as well as my body!!! So yeah!!! I am starting to not like sugar very well!! That is a good thing!! Thanks again for all of your support and help!!
 
Hey girl! I am just checking in from vacation to see how you are doing? How did you do over Easter? How is y our Monday beginning?

We made good time to Naples, no traffic at all and it only took us 7 hours!! Went out last night to eat and had a lavish spread of fresh seafood....this is what I miss the most about living in southern Italy as opposed to living in Northern Italy. I hit the gym today, you have to read my exercise thread for today....oh my am I in gym heaven!

Hope you are making out okay, see, I am still checking up on you even from vacation!!! Not sure how much time I will get to use the computer, but I will check every chance that I can get.

Thanks Debbi for once again, your inspiration!! I too put on a pair of jeans this weekend that I have not worn for a very long time!! Got them zipped without laying on the bed!!! It was a great feeling!! I can only imagine what it is going to be like to eventually be able to buy jeans in a size that I have NEVER seen!!! Happy to hear your trip is going so well!! I will PM you when I get a chance......enjoy the rest of your vacation!!! I am SO proud of you!!!

No weight loss this week...but I know that I have lost inches! I really need to measure again!

About Easter WeAkend....it was tuff and I was bad! Back on track though!!

Working out is becoming less of a reality as the ankle pain continues and becomes greater with more activity. Gotta figure out something physical to do while getting this ankle fixed........how many exercise points would coloring count for????:crazy2:

Off to begin my crazy day.....shopping for a car...Man, that is stressful and NOT fun. So off and running.....ready for another exciting week in losing!!!:teeth:

Coloring - now THAT sounds like a fun experience!! Sounds like you've gotten lots of good ideas for keeping busy while your ankle heals. I hope you'll be able to DIS a lot!! :p That always keeps me occupied for HOURS! :eek: :teeth:

RL has taken over!! YIKES!! So much going on and so little time to deal with it all!

The one good thing I can say about all of this though is...control over stress eating!! Yeah!!!

There have been A LOT of challenges this past week. Some of course went better than others...but some could have been so much worse.

Here is the list of bads this week:

Easter buffet w/Greg's family! Yes, I was bad...but that is in the past....over and done with! Maybe next buffet will be better!!

My niece got hit by a car! She is fine...she has a broken nose and a very broken spirit...but it could have been so much worse!! No stress eating there!! Don't know how I amnagaed that one!!!

My ankle is acting up again and I have more tests scheduled...stressed to the max about this and still eating sensibly!!

We bought a used car!! Stress level at an all time high! Yes, I did stress eat...but made some great choices.....just delved into a few flex points and still have some left for the week!!!! I even had some peeps...and tehy were legal!!!!

OK, I know I wasn't supposed to step on the scale before Monday, but I did! I am down a pound and one away from my 5 pound clippie!! Yeah!!

No skinny cows this week!! I have been working for Greg's boss and have been on my feet all day! The ankle does not like that!! And the reality of this is...the ankle is not too happy with anything right now...so even WATP is not a great option for exercise! But I am not defeated!!!

Overall I am quite pleased with me!! Thanks for all the support and well WISHes!!! Thanks to all who are keeping me on track and helping me to be accountable!!!!

I just got my first clippie!! How do ya like it? Man it feels gret being 7 pounds lighter and a whole bunch healthier!!!! Once again, thanks for all of the encouragement! I would have not gotten this far without all of you!!!!!!!!

Doe, the car excursion is almost over!! Thank goodness! I have one word for car buying...STRESS!!! We go to sign the papers tomorrow and I am hopeful that all will be well and the car will be fixed as promised....if not, we may be looking for a new used car!! Arrgghhhh!!!:crazy: I am hoping for the best though!!!

My 10 pound clippie! Yeah!

I have been struggling with wanting to stop at fast food places like McDonalds and Burger King...just becasue they are fast.....one day I was NOT so successful at this.....


Well I have my 10 poound clippie and I refuse to go backwards at this point!!!!

More news...surgery should be within the next two weeks!! Oh boy! 8 weeks on crutches...gotta find a way to ctutch away the pounds!! OK...gotta run...mroe later! Thanks for the encouragement!!!

I am still here and made my goal for the Mother's Day Challenge!!! I have been incredibly busy....and doing OK! Some hurdles I still need to get over and struggles I face often...but each day it gets a bit easier to actually THINK about the choices I make! Some a re good and some are not so good....but at least the thought process is still there. And for me, that is half the battle! Thanks for all the well wishes! I appreciate all of you! A quick favor too....Next Friday I will be having an 8th surgery on my ankle. Hopefully this will be the last for many years to come....anyway....a little pixie dust would be greatly appreciated! I am still planning on working in 16 pounds gone by the 4th....crutches, cast, mom being here for 2 weeks and all...so WISH me luck!! Thanks again for all of your encouragement and kind words!~ Your love is heartfelt adn appreciated!! Huggles to you all.......

OK, Liz, it's Wednesday now. Are you all ready for Friday? Have you stocked the kitchen with easy good-for-you foods so you have something to eat when you get home from your surgery?? Try to stack the deck in your favor, OK??

I'll keep you in my prayers for a great outcome to your surgery. Your upper body should be in amazing shape after using crutches for all those weeks - gotta look on the bright side, right?? Speaking of bright, do you get to pick the color of your cast??? I vote for bright pink or DIS lime green!!

I am back!!! I weighed in January 3 and it was NOT pretty......268....as I type this today I am am down 5 pounds.

I have decided that mixing some atkins and SBD could be a good option for me. It seems to be working.

So now, I am working on getting this exercise thing down....so it is WATP or walking outside 4 times a week to start.

I do have a goal or Hawaii and a bathing suit.....so here goes. 6 months to get rid of some of me........ I just have to take it one day at a time for now.
