I just wanted to give everyone some thoughts from our first trip to UO/IOA last week. The crowds were very low each day we were in the parks. We arrived each morning at opening and stayed until 2 or so then would return in the evening around 4 and stay till close. We never waited more that 15 minutes for anything and we rode everything. The kids got to meet over 35 characters at the park and it was awesome for them. The Simpsons Ride is the best I have been on in a long time and the cue is the best. We did not do the Express Pass and I would have been very upset had I purchased it, considering no line was over 15 to 20 minutes long at any given time. We were suprised one day early in the morning at the Discovery Center at Jurassic Park. The kids were playing with all hte things there and one of the scientists approached us and gave us 8 Express Passes to use anywhere we wanted. Wow, what a suprise. It was a good trip for us and a change from Disney. Cannot wait to get back to Orlando. Counting down the days now.

that is why i ALWAYS tell newbies to be at the park before opening time.
and, don't buy the epp until you get there if the calendar shows the epp for $20 pp.

i bet i know who the TM was at Jurassic Park..........hmmm, maybe one of our posters here........:rolleyes1

Its nice to hear you had a great time and the crowds were not to bad for this time of year.:thumbsup2

We were there at the end of week (7/26-7/29) and it was pretty crowded but since we had the Express Pass we never had to wait in any of the rides.

I'm now a convert and yes, have gone to the darkside :lmao: It was a great experience beginning with the wonderfull people at the RPR to all the people at Universal. I even lost my prescription glasses on the Hulk and everyone was so nice since without them I can't see a thing :rotfl: they even made sure that I found my DH since he was waiting with my other DD.

Next time we go we hope that go when it's not as rainy since we had a very wet time there!

glad you enjoyed your trip.
sorry the meal deal wasn't to your liking.
it is one of those things that you either love or dislike.

i hear you about the rain.
i hate doing the parks in the rain.
soggy shoes and socks bug me.

i take the throw away clear rain ponchos each day but it doesn't help with the feet....

was lost and found able to find your glasses?

contact them and see if they have shown up yet. if they have, guest services will mail them to you at your home.

 Unfortunately, the glasses haven't been found BUT I'll just keep checking. The lady at the lost & found was super nice which made the experience much better.

Can I say that our whole family are Universal Lovers now:lmao:

We're planning on going when the Harry Potter ride opens and my DD8 is even saying that she'll forego WDW and just do Universal & Sea World but that we have to stay at the RPR :thumbsup2

so good to hear that crzy and twin dad enjoyed the darkside.

you can like both disney and universal

when potter opens, more will be coming to the park.
you have the advantage over those newbies as you have been there and know the layout of the parks.
