Last week of August craziness?

Regarding the Haunted Mansion closing for Halloween overlay: what are the chances it might close before Monday, August 21? Historically it seems quite unlikely, but my first full day being August 20 puts me in danger of Murphy's law.

According to Touring Plans, the earliest it's closed since 2010 was August 22. That was last year.

I thin the OP might be okay those dates. School starts uncommonly early for locals, Aug 9.

I would stick with your plan. That week shouldn't be too bad at DL (we start school later than everyone else I know here and our first day is 8/28). Honestly I'd rather be at Aulani when it is less crowded in September - so much more relaxing!
