Last week of August - anyone else?

DS 13, DS 11 & I will be at POP 8/29 - 9/3. This is our 4th consecutive August trip. We couldn't pass up the free dining!

But we won't be bummin' when we come home this time, because we are GOING BACK 11/21 - 11/28. This time we'll be going with DH and staying at Saratoga Springs. We will be spending Thanksgiving day with our friends in Daytona.

How lucky am I - Two trips to the house of the mouse in 3 months. I have to keep pinching myself!

We will be there 8/25 - 9/1 at POP ! This will be our first stay there & we are so excited! All ADR's are made - only thing left is airfare. Still holding out for a good rate (I know, wishful thinking). I am just a little concerned about the weather. I guess we will make the best of it We will be in Disney after all!!!!

We will be at Boardwalk Aug 20th through 25th, then Old Key West through Sept 1st and Vero Beach until Sept 3rd! It will be our 5th wedding anniversary and we are celebrating big time!!! WOOHOO, only 95 days to go!!

Hopefully, you can all handle the weather. I'm not happy unless it's really hot (e.g., we were there June 2003, I had to turn the heat on one day when we returned to the room - between the air conditioning at Chef Mickey's and the rain and then air conditioning on the monorail - I was dying of cold).

We were there last August (free dining) and it was nice and hot . But I have to say there were lots of clouds which helped keep the sun from beating on your head. And it would rain every afternoon - the clouds are cool to watch too!

We will be joining Goofy 4 WDW at POR August 23-31. A little nervous about leaving the monorail behind. We have stayed at POLY on our last two trips in August '02 & '04. We can handle the heat -- but I think we will miss the transportation options, one other big change, 1st trip without a stroller!!

This trip sprung up out of the blue. DH starts a new job next week, leaving behind the job he has traveled with for the last 7 years; so thanks to frequent flyer miles we scored 5 free direct flights from Milwaukee ; his vacation payout and free dining make this a trip we didn't even have to save for . . . oh and did I mention miles we turned in for free car rental. I feel like the luckiest mom in the world!

Thanks, I had to share or I was going to explode. Just a few short weeks ago I was telling the kids it was going to be a long, long time before we went back to Disney.

Good for you!! I'm sure not being on the monorail will be fine. Esp since that time of year is slow. My DH will just not leave a monorail/epcot resort. I think we'd be saying it's not so bad. Let us know how it was when you return.

Returning to WDW 8/23-9/02 Can't wait, trying not to wish my days away. We're staying at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. It will be the first time so I'm a little nervous.

We are going down Aug 27 - Sep 1 at Pop. First time going down in Aug, but excited about the Free Dining. First time staying at a value resort, but I think Pop actually looks pretty nice. My boys thought the resort looked cool!

Third August trip in a row!!! Look for me by the pools with DS13, DS10, DD8 and DS4-they love this time of year for all the great swimming! In spite of the heat-swimming will get their appetites prepared for all the free dining!

The Trekker Clan - 4 of us will be at POP 8/24 - 8/29 - just decided to do a quick trip before school starts.

DS and I have stayed at POP before and enjoyed it. This is our second year in a row for an Aug trip and we had a great time last year.


Anyone out there want to sell an ADR to Le Cellier between 8/24 and 8/28? It is my sons favorite place to eat and we planned this trip just this week - nothing available during our stay

LOL, Anna, it looks as though your kids are still young! I agree, when they are little it really is the best! I am looking forward to this year's trip as our 19 y.o. son will be joining us for the first trip in 2 years. We are bringing his gf with us too (hey, I was willing to do anything for us to all be at WDW together again)!

I have to say, we are happy we started taking them when they were so young (DL when they were 6 & 3), and WDW every year since then. We have so many wonderful family memories. They are now 19 and 16. <sigh> it goes by quickly!

August 24 to Sept. 2 @ Movies. Solo trip with kids DS9, DS3, DD1. Dad has to work and I can't wait till he gets a vacation.
