Last Week at the Fort - Trip Report

What a wonderful trip report.... thanks for sharing!! You have an adorable family and I'm glad you had such a great time (minus the flat tire)!:)

We had a blown tire on our golf cart trailer last summer. It is really a bummer.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

It is our goal to find every Musket Mickey. We too think it is silly to make the change for correctness.

Tri-Circle-D I knew I had to get my report done when I found out you were there! You always have the greatest pics and info. I thought I would beat you with the foldable (now I know slow) golf cart. I really thought you had the new sign in a previous report.

We had the flat tire in the perfect place. It really did go smoothly and was not that big of a deal (well a $264 deal).

Back to reality. The kids schooling (see a Class C or Class A would be better for school work!) and DH catching up with clients.

Love this picture - I'm the mom of a homeschool grad (current college student), and we enacted this scene many times over the years. We even did her standardized testing in the car on the way to WDW one year! :rotfl2:

Great Trip Report, sorry to hear about the flat tire. Was it some road debris or something? That looks like a nasty tear in the sidwall, hope it didn't damage anything in the wheelwell area.

We put 4 new treads on the TT this spring to get it ready for the trip in August. I figured I wanted new tires for such a long haul on hot summer days.

Love the photos - the kids look like the perfect age for the Fort and WDW.

When I started to homeschool my nephew in November he thought each trip he would get a break. He quickly discovered that I keep my lesson plan. I will also pull items from Disney like in Norway they have a replica of a viking ship and so on. He is into the swing of things now. I love traveling the US and showing them where our history events took place. We are doing the Iowa test next week so I get another break from schooling! I can't imagine doing that in the car!

too wierd...I posted about CMA but it ended up on your post...too wierd

I was VP of CMA f(local chapter)for a time...for those of you who don't know that is Christian Motorcyclists Assoc. They are a great group of bikers who work with bikers all over the world. I can truthfully say I have SELDOM met a biker I didn't like...even those from the clubs with the bad reps have never been less than VERY helpful to me when I've run into trouble on or off my bike...:hippie:
Keep going with the trip report...I'm missing the Fort and this helps!!! Janet/QUOTE]

Glad to help ease the pain! I don't know if we can make it until October. We may have to squeeze another quick trip in. I am using a new spelling curriculum and one of their teacher seminars is in June in Orlando! I mentioned it to DH so we will see.

We have really had fun with this new camera. Why we waited to come into the digital age I will never know. It took me all last evening to figure out how to get the pics off the camera and into photobucket to put on the disboards. I would love to see a picture of your granddaughter.

No there wasn't any debris we could see and the rest of the area was fine when they took off the tire. We bought the tires about 8 months ago and they have been to the Fort twice, the Smoky Mtns and a 14 day tour up to Virginia, Philadelphia, and New Jersey. DH thinks it could be a defect and is taking it back to the tire dealer.

This is the perfect age for the Fort and WDW. Other trips are more work on DH and my part.
