We were in Disney last week for 3 days. The crew was:

Me: 39 year old mommy of one. RN on weekends SAHM M-F

DH: 41 year old daddy of one. RT on weekends SAHD M-F

DS: Ethan 3 year old full of energy.

This was our first stay at a value resort. I dont know what I was expecting but the room was actually really nice and we had a great view of the Bowling Pin pool. Room # 2472. The reosrt overall was really cool. I loved having the huge food court. The pools were never really crowded. The pop up jets were a favorite of my son. Overall we loved the place. I actually changed my CR MK View ressie to 2 rooms at POP and I am saving a bundle.

here are some pics of POP

The Magic Kingdom was not overly crowded and line times were never over 20 min. This was not a "recommended day" to me at MK and it still was not bad. Crystal Palace was awesome and we had great character interaction.

here are some pics from MK. The Dole whip stand was closed and I was so mad I couldnt get my BAWB pic but we are going back in November and trying to move to the area so I will get that shot. LOL.

Crystal Palace was awesome. The food was outstanding as usual. We mostly ate the shrimp, blue cheese salad, turkey with cranberry chutney and I gorged on bread pudding and coconut flan. Overall this is our favorite TS in MK.

The next night we ate at Wolfgang Puck CS place. It was very good food. WE had the pizza's and salad and our whole meal was less than $30 plus tip which is a great value.

I wanted to thank everyone for their suggestions to go to POP and Kevin for his food reviews. We had a great 3 days and tried alot of new things this time around thanks to the DIS.

On an off note the Dixie Crossroads Restaurant was awesome. A big thanks to Corey for mentioning this place that he and Bawb loved so much.

If you made it this far I commend you. Thanks for looking.

OMG...what a beatuiful family!!

I am glad you had a great time and managed on a budget!!

My family spent 10 days in the 80's wing in May. I agree, the hotel is the top of the line in the value resorts. My DS7, DD5 & I loved the game room (DW could care less).

Ethan is HUGE! So tall for a 3 year old and very adorable. You guys looks great and I'm glad you had a great time!

I know everyone thinks he is 5 not 3. He is 42 inches tall and yes he did ride his first "big" ride this time. Splash Mountain and loved it.

Thanks for the mini trip report! I'm thinking about Pop for a trip in December and appreciate hearing nice things about it. And your son aka casanova is adorable!!! :)

I like the matching tie-dye shirts too! :thumbsup2

wow! he rode splash mountain at the age of 3!!!...

thanks for the trip report and the pictures....you have a beautiful family!!!
and your son looks totally adorable....

one thing, if i might ask, since you just stayed at the pop - DD will be staying there in september....i put a request on her reservation for lake view in the 60's building....do you think that's a bad idea?...or will they like that view (if they get it)...

Actually the CM suggested that location to have a view of the fireworks. I turned it down so my son could see Lady and the Tramp. I think it would be a great view for someone that doesnt travel with a toddler who loves the huge Icons. I would keep it.

Grat report! Awesome pictures! Thanks so much for sharing! your kids are TOO cute! :) (and you and your DH too!)

How did you find the noise at Pop? I've heard/read alot about "thin walls" there and I hate hearing all the goings on in the room next door.

We didnt find it had ANY noise issues. The only thing that actually made me giggle was my son said one morning mommy there is a boy out there. I have never had exterior windows to a hallway. A little boy was peeking at our window display when my son looked through the curtains. He jumped and ran away when I opened them up. :rotfl: I didnt mean to scare the little fellow but it was funny and made me laugh.

Wow,

Great trip report. My wife & I are staying at POP for the first time in December after many nights at CBR. We are really looking forward to it. Thanks for the info!!!!

We'll be there in 10 days -- thanks for getting me even more excited!!! I've stayed in the 70's, 80's, and 90's...so I'm really hoping we'll luck out and get either the 50's or 60's (along with the other how-many-thousand people! LOL). What a great idea decorating your window with a DIS shirt!

Great photos! Love the homemade Mickey shirts. :thumbsup2

Looks like another Pop Century convert. Would you stay in a value again?

Uuummm we stayed in POP a few weeks ago (this report) and I just changed my November ressies from CR MK view to POP. It was a blast and the entire resort had such a fun overall feel. We loved it. And we are really deluxe snobs. If my sister was not going and we didnt want 2 rooms I might be trying out Poly or GF but really I loved POP's atmosphere so..... POP it is in November too:thumbsup2

Loved your trip report.....can you tell me how you got your t-shirt up on your window.....? DId you just use tape?
