Last two weeks of august-?good time to go?

I was wondering if anyone could give me and advice on crowds during the last week of august. I know it will be hot but I like the heat and can deal with that, was wondering if the crowds were a little lighter because most of the southern schools go back early August.

We have gone that last week in August(leading up to Labor Day weekend) in both 2002 and 2003. Id do it again in a heartbeat. The crowds and waits were minimal. Yes, it was hot, but I like the heat too and prefer that to some of the cold weather we had last week down there. 2002 was pretty rainy that week, but in 2003 we mostly just had those midday showers you hear about, and they seemed to come around our schedule which was great.

I agree we were in WDW for the last 2 weeks in August last year and the crowds were great. We only used fast passes on the weekend. The weather was humid at the start of the holiday and it rained most day but this was not really a problem. I would go at this time of year again but not with a firm touring plan in palce due to the weather.

I went that time and it wasn't too crowded. But I agree, the heat was bad. But I would go that time again.
