we're trying to get our one kitten (1 yr old) used to outside. We wanted her to be an inside cat, but she is miserable. She cries and cries and climbs the screen. and if the other cat is sitting in front of the screen door she yells at him and swats him!

So every morning I come out here with her so she can have some supervised outside time in the year.

Here's another puzzle that happens at the weekend only.

Attemptation - There is usually some general knowledge associated with the puzzle. Here's today's musings....
William Cowper (1731 - 1800) earned a name for his poetry on the joys and sorrows of life, and although he was one of the most widely read English poets of his day, he was troubled by lifelong depression and persistent nightmares of spiritual damnation. Always sickly and unstable, he was confined to an asylum for 18 months shortly after the first of his many bouts of insanity, which was triggered by anxiety over a routine examination for a civil post. Concluding in the sum, the following line is from his Conversation (1782): A noisy man is always....

I N :) :) :)
T H E :) :)
R I G H T

In the addition, different letters and the smiley face represent different digits. Rewrite the sum using:
1 = ?
2 = ?
3 = ?
4 = ?
6 = :)
7 = ?
8 = ?
9 = ?

Change of topic.

Today's 9 letter target game.

Rules.
1. Make as many 4 letter or more words from the letters provided.
2. Each letter must be used only once per word.
3. Each word must contain the center letter.
4. There must be at least one nine letter word.
5. No plurals, no foreign words, no proper names.

O E F
A P T
T O L

Today's target...15 word, good; 23 words, very good; 31 words, excellent.

I play this everyday (without cheating).

These are the rules

Sounds great having this time with the cat.

We have 2 cats. One is ...gosh, we've had her since 1994. She's a tortoise shell. The other was dumped outside our house in 2005. He's a white cat. Yin and Yang and never the twain will meet...
The only time they are inside the house together is at night. We have possums that come out at night and the council wants all cats inside the house. It's a pain with the white cat....he constantly wants to be outside. She sleeps on either my pillow or DH pillow!!

And here's my solution to this puzzle...

I N :) :) :)
T H E :) :)
R I G H T

8 = G
9 = R

Good night all :cloud9:. I'll have tomorrow's edition when I wake up and I'll be posting tomorrow's puzzles before I work on them.
