Well, one graduation over and one to go! :cool1: Matthew's graduation was very nice and the powerpoint was great!!!

I was quite upset Friday when Matthew came home and said that he had to pay $100 by yesterday morning for a calculator that he "lost!" He said his had been missing for a while but he thought he had left it in the classroom and then it was gone. But they just told him about owing the money Friday. Well, yesterday morning I coughed up a $100 and sent a check with him to school. It really hurt the budget with all this other graduation stuff going on.

I was upset about it but I really didn't want to raise a stink about it. I want to leave the school on a good note - after all, we've had at least one of our kids in that school for the past 17 years and now we're done!

After the reception last night the principal came over to me and reminded me of when he left me behind on the 8th grade trip...something no one will ever foget, especially him (because I won't let him)! :lmao: Anyway, he said he'd like to "buy" my forgiveness and hoped that his "gesture" would help me to forget! :rotfl: Then he handed me my $100 check back. He said that they had "found" a calculator yesterday with the ID # scratched off of it. While they really weren't sure if it was Matthew's they put it in under his number! :cool1: I graciously accepted the check - and then told him there was no way it would make up for my pain and suffering of being left behind and I would NEVER let him live it down! :lmao:

We were at the neighbors house today for a party. One of their friends had a little boys (16 months old) and he was around the pool and the Dad was watching him really good, walking behind him and every step he took. The Dad sat down and turned his head for just one second and the little boy was in the pool. I threw my drink down and jumped in after him, clothes and all.

The Dad was so shocked, and surprised. He just keep saying Thank you the rest of the day. And that he was so sorry about my clothes getting wet. I told him my clothes are only wet and can be dried it was no big deal. Plus I live next door and could change.

Honestly nothing went thru my head except getting to the little boy.

I was just happy I was able to react and get to him as quickly as possible.
you are AMAZING Kell!:worship:

Last night Andrew and I took the powerpoint for one of the other mom's to preview. I don't want anyone seeing it until tonight (Matthew hasn't seen it) but I did want input from her to make sure it looked okay. I jokingly said that I wasn't going to cry anymore because I had watched it so many times already while we were doing it! :rotfl: She informed me that I shouldn't have my feeling hurt if she didn't cry because she just wasn't that way. She said that she may shed a few tears tonight at the actual graduation but she's just not the crying type - so don't take it personally - that doesn't mean that the powerpoint isn't the sentimental-type thing! Well, she loved the presentation - but was a little shocked at herself! :lmao: She did great through the first song, during the second song Andrew and I heard a few sniffles...and during the third song she even said, "You know you're killing me here!" And the tears were rolling down her cheeks! :lmao:

:rotfl: it must have been great Kathy!:thumbsup2

That was great, Kathy. I love when something good happens to people who deserve it.

As I was driving in this morning there was a story on the radio about a little boy who drowned in his family pool this weekend. Very sad.

Yes I did. It is always nice to have that extra time off.

Plus Ashli needed it to finish her report on Neil Armstrong. Which she waiting until the last minute to put it all together. :headache:
