I remember vividly the last time I was drunk because it was one of the worst days of my life. I swear that if they would make alcoholics go through a day like that, they would never drink again.
It was five years ago in the summer. I went out the night before my sister's wedding to a restaurant/bar my parents owned. My brother was the bartender. I have a few family members who drink like fish. I rarely drink.
My brother made me a normal drink. I drank it. The thing about drinks with me is that once I get through the first one, I don't seem to taste the alcohol anymore. So my brother made the "family-type" drinks for my next two, which meant I had a little coke with my alcohol.
I only had three drinks, yet I was vomiting in the bathroom and then the car.

It was horrible. In the morning my sister had some tylenol and water ready for me right beside my bed.
I went to a Catholic wedding...in the summer...no air conditioning...while having a hangover. I really don't need to say any more, but I will. If you have ever been to a Catholic wedding, it's not typical. You have to stand up, sit down, stand up. All this while feeling like crap and feeling nauseated and hot.
Then the reception was held in a place with no air. It was pure torture. I didn't even touch alcohol for at least another year.
