Last Race for the Taste and TOT 13k

I got an email saying that these two races are being discontinued. Anyone know if they are being replaced by other races or if the Disney Race Schedule is being pared down? I was disappointed to hear that these two were going away - we won't be able to make it this year but definitely wanted to try both at some point.

Hi Mickey_Man: I was speaking with someone from the Disney Endurance Series last week while I was writing my Expedition Everest Challenge blog. They told me they are planning something to replace the RFTT and ToT13k next year, but were not ready to announce it yet. I'm thinking they want to generate some excitement to fill the final RFTT and ToT13k. I don't think they want people to hold off and wait for the new event for next year - they want people to run this year AND next year.

Thanks for the update!! I really enjoy the disney races, even if they are too crowded to think about any PRs. Glad to be back on the Disboards too - I haven't posted in quite a while!

Our thoughts over on the WISH boards is that there will be an October half added that will be pirate themed to match the princess half in the spring. It is just speculation but would make sense to us.
