I'm thinking of renting a stroller for my lazy 5 year old:lmao:

He is big for his age 48 inches, which is too bad because he is a real chicken and won't go on the big rides with me!!! :rotfl2:

He is also 55 pounds would he fit in a single stroller? I don't want to get a double but I will for 3 days or 4 days if I have to. I'm trying to cut expenses and going from a double to a single would be great. Yes I really do need a stroller and I don't want to buy one. Although I have seen a couple that do go up to 55 pounds.

Now I'm not sure what I should do. Suggestions?:worship:

Thanks. I've always gotten such good advice here.

I think he would be fine in a single stroller. (My DS is almost 16 now though, so I'm no expert!) I've seen some pretty big kids in those strollers and they are pretty sturdy looking. I wish I had thought of that on our first trip when mine was 5.

The Disney Strollers are fibreglass and are more like a low to the ground push cart than a stroller. So yes, your son would fit fine it. I'm getting one for my 6 year old when we go. If you've ever been to Marine Land, they have the same ones there, only yellow instead of Blue. The last time we went, my DD then 13 was undergoing cancer treatment. Her feet and legs became SO sore and blisters covered the bottom of her feet, so we quickly rented a double one of those strollers there, and she could stretch out in it, and did not mind at all (since it did not look like a real stroller), She was just happy to be off her poor feet!

My 8 year old used to use a Disney stroller....was got HOURS more park time and it held all our stuff.

To keep cost down, how about bringing a cheap umbrella stroller and leave it there. S

I rented a stroller for my DD when she was almost 7. It made a world of difference in her. She got very tired after being there for only a few hours and she wanted to leave. We put her in a stroller and she was a whole other person.

For a kid the size of your son I would go with a WDW stroller. He will be more comfortable than if you buy an umbrella stroller.

Now I just need to figure out for how many days! I have a 6 day pass no hopper so I figure 2 days at MK 2 days at EP and one each at DS and AK.

So I was thinking of renting for 4 days? Or should I just go for all 6? Last time I rented a double for 4 because my kids were 6 and 4, it was great now my daugter is 8 so she shouldn't need it but may sit in when my son get out! :lmao: However, I did have my umbrella stroller for all my other park days but I only rented on my big park days. Hope I make sense?

I guess I'll see how much for 4 days and how much more 6 would be and see if its worth it. Is there one park where you really don't need a stroller?

Thanks:)

If you want to skip renting one day, make it the DHS day. It's the smallest park and has a lot of sitting attractions/rides.
