my son has always wanted a pet duck.. i really don't know what that is all about.. maybe because he is an odd duck!!

Many years ago we had a pet turkey. He was a little guy that grew to be HUGE. He had a long beard so of course we thought he was a male.....until he started to lay eggs! She pooped a lot and everywhere. I don't know how, but she would get up high and then send them down on the worst spots. So, when DS wanted a duckling like my DSIL's kids I had to draw the line.

we won't be getting a duck any time soon!! that or snakes or spiders...

my ds wants a corn snake and I told him when he moves out I will take him to the pet store and get one!! but until then he needs to keep dreaming!!

we love our tortoise. he is so cute.. don't know what we will do when he is 60 pounds or more though!!

Wow, 60 pounds. Where would you put him, in a bathtub? or do you have a pond outside?

Oh my, snakes are not my thing. Fortunately, we don't have many here. A lot of people have lizards as pets here, like chamaeleons. My DFIL can't stand them and the boys always find them in his fruit trees....and then take them to grandpa.

cool, I guess he is somelike like a dog then? easier than a dog if he only needs water once a week.
