I didn't tell you guys about my excitement at work the other day.....I got my first "shoplifter" since becoming a part of "management." A guy walked out with an entire cart of beer without paying for it. So I went out after him and stood behind the car while he was loading it in the back seat. There was a driver in the car but I didn't feel like he knew what was going on. I confronted the guy and asked him for his receipt and he said he must not have gotten one. I asked him which cashier he went through and he said one of the ones in the middle. I said, "well, none of my cashier's sold any beer so we have a problem!" Just then, my store manager and my assistant manager came out. Whew = send in the calvary! :lmao: I left them with the thief and went in the store to call the police. Well, after I got inside the one that had taken the beer bolted. The manager chased him but lost him. We got the other guy into the store and detained him. The police showed up and we got the thief's name and enough info that I was able to go get a warrant for him the next day. When I went to get the warrant I was told that the guy already had court dates sent for other charges....including hit and run AND carrying a concealed weapon!! Maybe next time I'm not going to be so quick to follow someone out! :lmao:

Anyway, yesterday morning they got the guy. He was the passenger in a vehicle that was stopped!

I just can't believe the nerve of someone to come in, get a cart, fill it with beer and then just walk right out the front door with it...in the middle of the day! :sad2: I'm used to the "hide the steak in your pants" type of shoplifter! :lmao:

some are just so out there! One time we had an older lady walk around the store and stuff things in her clothes, but she was wearing a really thin shirt and you could see everything she put down it. She even hid things under her HAT:rotfl:

it's not like she didn't have the money b/c she spent over $200 on food, but she had about $300 in stolen things on her body.

when we took her upstairs she just kept pulling thingsout going "this isn't mine. I didn't pay for this either." Like it was no big deal!

We didn't want to call the police but we had to b/c it ended up being too much money we would have lost

Well I am back

They said no break just a deep contusion and the swelling is pressing on the
nerves which is causing the loss of feeling and numbness

They put her in a metal splint and we go see the ortho on Monday if it is no better
by than the swelling should be less

anyway thanks for the good wishes
