Okay Lissa - Here's a prime example of what we're all talking about saying our Dh's are like kids! -

I'm toting all this food down to the basement while DH is on the other computer playing counterstike! I take a frozen fruit bar into the family room to show him - it's not a good sign when you're holding a popsicle and the only thing solid about it is the stick. He doesn't come out to the kitchen until that round is over on counterstrike! Then he opens the freezer and says - it's cold in there, I just don't understand what's wrong! Gee, I'm not a repairman but I think what is wrong is that even if it's cold in there it's not cold enough! Can you say MELTING! So then he says, well what do you want me to do about it. Um, maybe go up and down the stairs carrying stuff to the deep freeze like I'm doing. And he says, oh, you want me to carry it downstairs. DUH! Then I got mad and said just forget it. So, he's back to playing counterstrike!

And he is off tonight, and tomorrow, and I worked all day today and have to be in at 8 tomorrow morning!

Sorry to vent but I really needed to!

I know this one. They buy milk in bags in Canada. And they eat stuff called Poutine (sp?)

You guys DON'T have those stupid little 1 litre bags of milk....the ones that need to go in the holder, that you slam down on the counter (to get the bag all the way in!) and cut a little, teensy triangle corner off (hopefully, the proper) side so you can pour it out??????

So are you saying you have not experienced the joy of finding 10 million little, teensy plastic triangle CORNERS in the flippin' drawer where the scissors are kept?????? You've NEVER seen the DH place a milk bag holder over his head and SUCKLE OUT THE MILK like a calf?????? You ladies MUST take a trip to the Great White North real soon!!!!!! I mean, you just haven't LIVED!!!!!!!!!

Now Poutine is another matter!!!! This IS a food group!!! PMS Heaven-in-a-bowl, I like to say!!!! Fries, yum.. cheese curds on top....smother it all with piping hot gravy...VOILA........POUTINE!!!!
Trust me....it is practically orgasmic!!!

Can't say that I've ever seen milk in a bag. We get ours in one gallon (or half gallon) plastic jugs. Don't you have a problem with the milk bags getting holes in them. (Sorry if I sound dumb about it!)

Poutine sounds, well, interesting. I'm not sure about the cheese curds, though. But you got me with the fries and gravy! I could go for that right now!

I'm here, just kinda off and on.

I got all the frozen stuff toted down to the basement freezer. Now I'm working on cleaning out the fridge down there. We hardly ever use it so it needs cleaned before I put all of our regular stuff in it.

DH keeps saying we need to unplug the fridge upstairs and give it a rest, maybe it's froze up or something like that. True, it may be but could you give me a little time to move the stuff downstairs so that I at least have the fridge light!

DH just came out to the kitchen and asked if I was sure there was nothing I wanted him to do. I told him if I had to tell him what to do and he couldn't figure it out by himself then, no, there was nothing I wanted him to do!

I don't mean to complain about DH and I usually don't so please forgive me. I'm just upset about the whole thing. We've been bombarded with doctor bills the past couple of days (over $1,500 out of pocket) and now this! It's just not been the best of days for me. But thanks for letting me vent!

I must've made 50 trips down to the basement so far! I've taken everything out of that fridge and cleaned it completely and I've got about 1/2 the stuff from the upstairs fridge moved down there! Do we have a smilie for "boy am I hot and tired?"
