I called DH as I was walking out of the store to tell him I was jumping from the nearest bridge. The fool talked me down.

He did his good DH duty and told me that he likes my body. I told him he needs to get his head examined for have his eyes checked.

whenever DH tells me this and trys to "calm me down" it always ends with us going out for banana splits!!! (I don't think that helps the body image, but it does make me feel better )

Okay so I need to add something to my story. DH comes home tonight and looks at me and says "So did you get a bathsuit?" Umm no didn't the upset phone call give you a clue that the bathsuit shopping was not going well.

And didn't he just start back to school?

I don't think he is totally miserable...but I think he just thinks this other job would be so great...but I am trying to look at the entire picture....like he usually drops the kids off in the morning and picks up DS early for activities....and it seems like no one cares what his hours are....and, this summer he has taken off quite a bit to watch the kids when Mama was busy....no big deal for him to take off. These are the things are real quality of life things that he will be giving up....with this new job he will be supervising people...I am not sure he realizes what a headache it can be to manage people...it really isn't easy

ok, I am being a horrible mom right now.

Grif is crying uncontrollably b/c he needs water. He just doesn't want to get up and get it himself.

He says that his legs are broken (which they're not) and he can't get it himself. He says he can't get his foot up, and then he pretends that he can't move it.

He has got himself all worked up and is bawling and bawling and crying "I need water, I need water, I NEED WATER!!!!!"

and I won't get it for him.

I'd tell him if his legs are broken, we'll have to take him to the hospital where they can put them in casts and give him a SHOT!!! (I hate needles)

Sometimes the Grass is not always Greener on the other side.

Part of the reason I put up with some of the stuff that I do is for most of the very reasons you say. I am free to come and go and nobody really has a fit if I had to take time off. So I give up somethings to have that kind of work environment.

If I went somewhere else I would have to put up with allot more rules and things that I just don't want to deal with.
