I am searching for a good, EASY, recipe for a little get together tonight.

Nothing fancy. I was thinking something in the crockpot, so I was scouring the CC board.

There weren't many app recipes though

BTW

i know I whine here when DH is a pain
but I gotta give him credit when he deserves it too

he has been really nice and sweet making up for the crappy anniversary

and we have 2 days off together coming up
and he canceled plans with his brother to be with ME

so either he knows he screwed up
or he is really Afraid of one Texan who threatened to kick him

Aww either way at least you guys will have some time together.

another little Redneck story...

she is 2 1/2 and calls my DH Unkie
they are so funny together


well last night she is in the car with SIL and out of the blue says
"shut up"
SIL says "we don't say that it isn't a nice word"
little redneck says" Unkie say Shut Up"

so we now know two things about my niece
she is making connection and putting things together
and she has learned the all important lesson
Always blame the nearest Male

she called DH last night and told him

Unkie You go time out
bad words

Couldn't laugh in front of her
but we have all had a good chuckle

but most of them were for meals. They're already having a cake, and then everyone is brining a side dish.
