Oh boy - I have to go and find boxes today. Going to start packing my Mom up this weekend.

We did find a couple of places for her that we are looking into. But nobody will call us back.

Our cat got into another fight.

I can't take all these wounds on him!!

He has three big bites, and I'm taking chunks taken out of him! It is so gross!!
I am a horrible pet owner now. We just spent $200 to get him all fixed up last time (2 months ago). We're going to try to take care of him at home this time. I called the vet and they'll give us an antibiotic. We cut most of the hair off around the wounds, but tonight we're going to try to shave it closer. Then just keep them cleaned.

Last time the vet didn't even sew him up, so hopefully we'll be able to take care of him at home.

Hunter, our cat, doesn't even act like anything's wrong. We didn't even know he had been bit until last night!

I think he may be the aggressor in this fight. And the bites are HUGE, so I don't think it's from another cat. We're thinking it's from a raccoon that has been hanging around our house.

We kept having dog food all over the garage floor and I would just blame it on dh for being so messy when he feeds the dogs... until one day I went in and the cat food container was knocked over.. What the heck??

So I told dh that I think something is coming through our cat door into the garage... So we taped up the cat door and then poured flour all over the ground outside of it and guess what????

The next morning there were footprints all over the floor!! And all over the tape!! (We used red masking tape so you could see all the footprints) It was so funny!! We cleaned it up and poured more flour.... and the same thing the next night!

From the footprints we know it's a raccoon and that poor fellow is going to have to work for his food again.

Anyway... we're thinking maybe our cat is getting into it with him.

Wow. He sounds like he might have went a round or two.

I am sure you will keep and eye on him and if you feel like it is out of hands or he is getting worse than take him to the vet.

yup! Don't forget they do carry rabies, so keep and eye on him!!

Right now he's locked up in the bathroom upstairs. He's got his box, food, water and a comfy bed. But he hates being inside for too long.

Well I guess we're just going on the assumption that he doesn't have rabies.

We figuring this is the same animal that got him last time and there have been no cases of rabies reported here in....forever and he is current on his rabies shot.
