Good Ol Gal said:It has gone off once for a real emergency.. at 4am!
And the tornado was spotted about 150 miles from us.. but they move fast so they had to turn them all on.
That is not how I want to be woke up. At least with Hurricane we can prepare and sit and wait and wait and wait for them to hit.Mom2Ashli said:Oh boy - G is the next to go. Is he excited?
Good Ol Gal said:Oh, he is soooo excited!! He makes me pack his lunch right now just like the other kids.
I keep telling him that kindergarten here is only half the day and it doesn't include lunch time.
He is convinced that the will get to eat lunch next year in the cafeteria!

Good Ol Gal said:Brandon is still having bad days at school.
He comes home telling me all these things he liked about it, but every morning he doesn't want to go, and he cries in his classroom.
They put my cell phone number down at his seat and they are letting him call be once in the morning and once in the afternoon if he feels sad.
He called within 10 minutes of me getting home. Of course, it took us 45 minutes to get him to walk into his room. And then I stayed about an hour after that in there with him.
It is just breaking my heart, but I know he needs this. He wants it, but it really is the only time he has been away from his family. He has never even been with a babysitter. Either mom/dad/grandma/grandpa/brothers/sisters.
I know it's probably ten times harder on you watching him go through this than it is on him. Hopefully each day will get a little easier for him.
So the dentist recommended that she do the fillings in the hospital under anesthesia. So since we're going that route she's going to coordinate to have two of his wisdom teeth pulled and one "odd" molar. (He has an extra.) So it looks like we're looking at out-patient "surgery" in June.
I'm sure he'll do fine but I'm not looking forward to any of it!
