DH just called again! He said he got "sidetracked!" He should be home in about 20 minutes. And he wonders why dinner isn't on the table when he gets home. I know better than to trust him when he says he's on his way.

...rainy, but the party was okay....13 year-olds!! Not only did she open her gifts BY HERSELF in another room, she didn't acknowledge her gifts, and didn't even say "Thank you" (kinda shrugged her shoulders)....

Oh man! That is one of my pet peeves! I can't stand when I give something and they can't at least say thank you!

I am back and everyone is gone again.

On top of DD almost getting hit by the truck today.

Lastnight DH and I were going to drop DD off at a b-day party and 3 blocks from our house we see an accident. They were working on the person as we where trying to get our of neighborhood. I think a car hit someone crossing the road. It is REALLY dark in that spot at night. I looked for something in the paper and watched the news but there wasn't anything. I hope and pray the person makes it.

This morning when I went to pick up DD from the Slumber Party I noticed a shoe on the corner. Very very sad.

All she would have to do is say "Thank You". No matter what she thinks of the gift. What is wrong with kids today.

And, I wouldn't have even known that she opened her gift, until I saw the unwrapped box in the other room.....

She is VERY picky and VERY tiny [for a 7th grader], so all she likes to wear is Abercrombie & Fitch....and we all know how EXPENSIVE that place is....I didn't mind spending a small fortune on an outfit that looks like its only worth $20 bucks worth of material (I AM paying for that MOOSE!); I would just like it to be appreciated.....I thought it was better than throwing a couple o' 'dollahs' in a card.....

If that were my kid I would have made sure that she said "Thank you" to everyone there.

Unfortunately, it's not just kids these days. I know plenty of adults that are like that. And if the adults are like that then naturally their kids will be the same.

Yeah, he finally made it after being "unavoidably detained!"

Roast beef, mashed 'taters and veggies in cheese sauce. It was all really good.
