it's a nice day out today-we only have a little snow left so to celebrate we're grilling out-and I don't have to brush the snow off the grill to do it :thumbsup2

:cool1:

I was thinking of you yesterday. We have daffodils blooming! I'll try to take some pics of them today so that you can see that there is hope beyond the snow! :lmao:

I fell asleep on the couch after dinner last night and when I got up just before 11 p.m. I realized that the kitchen window was still open!

We're not getting back as much as we usually do but at least we're getting something!
The first year we were married, DH and I took a beating at tax time, married and nothing to claim :scared: :faint: after that, our motto has been that if we don't need to pay, (anymore than they already take out  ), life is good! :goodvibes

Thanks!! We had the doors open and storm doors cracked a couple inches too til about 7pm-it was about 58-60 yesterday-but around 5am it was back to winter-icy

My DS friend from the Army had to report back to Duty and DS took him to the airport(that's what I was up at 5am for-had to give him a hug good-bye)

:wave2: mornin' everyone

Good Morning Lyn! :wave2:

Kim...I loved the photos with your kids :goodvibes In each photo you show they look so happy....and they look like they get along and never fight :confused3 what is the secret to appreciative kids that don't want to hurt their sibling? :listen: :listen: :listen:[/QUOTE}

I gotta tell you...my boys almost never fight. They always get along and help each other. Little squabbles here and there, like, "You're taking too long in the bathroom." But other than that they don't fight and they share. And they're always soooooo appreciative. Heck, half the time they thank me for dinner!

I'd tell you the secret but I really don't know. Maybe it's a boy thing. They don't get along all that well with DD but they don't "fight" with her.

Kathy...my Sister is born on Christmas day..when my Mom had her, all the clocks, except one, in the delivery room said 11:59 (Christmas Eve) and one clock said 12:00...the doc asked my Mom if she wanted a Christmas baby...and she said her didn't care (must have been exhausted) :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: so, he b-day is the 12/25.

Neat! I think I would have gone with the Christmas Eve baby though! :teeth:

I think the reason DD and DS get along so well is that they're only 18 months apart-that and the fact that DD was a twin til I lost her twin 10 weeks into the pregnancy

I think she adopted her Brother as her twin-they are the best of friends

OK I have to go Brunch is getting cold :wave2:

:wave2: kids are done with breakfast...so we are going to do some cooking and then play outside with the puppies...we have a get-together around lunchtime and DD and I will be bringing desert :goodvibes ...:wave2:

We take a bit of a beating at tax time 'cause all of the off-duty work that DH does is considered self-employment and we can never seem to put aside the money for taxes.

Since your DSs friend is in the Army has DS considered it? Especially with your background. Just curious (hope you don't mind me asking).

Andrew and Matthew are only 20 months apart. And A.J., because of his Down Syndrome, is much closer to them than the actual 4 years difference.

yep-but we pushed him to join the Navy-better schooling and not as tuff of assignments

He even enlisted-but since he didn't graduate on time he was released from the contract-and now he doesn't want to do it anymore-we'll see he might change his mind
