 Hi!! Miss You!!!

Update.

They thought that Caleb had bruising in his stomach from the dirt bike accident and the staph infection was from a cut in his knee and he still has the hairline fracture in his collar bone.

They were thinking they were going home tonight but we just got a call from my BIL and said the Dr caught something she didn't like so they sent him back down for some more testing and ended up removing a bunch of pus from his abdomen.

The Dr. don't know what is causing it but they are going to start him on a bunch of antibiotics and keep looking.

The Dr. is now thinking this has nothing to do with the accident at all.

:grouphug: Prayers and thoughts going his way :grouphug:

well MIL and two nieces are on their way home. It was a good, but stressful week.

The first two days were a hard adjustment for the three oldest (T, and two dn, 13 & 11). But after the first two days they all got along so well!!

Now, MIL... who I truly LOVE.... was starting to get on my nerves towards the end. She gets so stressed out with all the kids and she kept yelling at them to be quiet... 6 kids (13-6) to be QUIET??? :scared1:

I just wanted to let them have a fun time together (they've only seen each other 2 times in the last 10 years!!!!!!).

I hope they're doing ok. Their flight from Chicago Midway left an hour late and they're scheduled to arrive 1 1/2 hours late.

We start school in a week (on the 29th). I have been so busy with PTA stuff... I like it, don't get me wrong, but I am not even a board member and I do soooo much more than the members! The Pres calls me for EVERYTHING!!! I just don't want her to start taking me for granted, you know what I mean

and then to top it all off... they're parents are VERY strict about what they allow the girls to eat...they say their fat :(

They are big girls... as in TALL!! They don't look fat at all. Their mom is at least 5'8 and dad is 6'1, but right before they came they took them school clothes shopping and they went up a size in clothes.

That flipped mom out, and told them they were not allowed to eat "junk" and they had to run everyday here.

Ok, we're not big runners, but our kids are active and they are NOWHERE near fat. We enjoy food, and our kids are allowed to have junk along with healthy foods. We just balance them out.

So... what do the girls do as soon as they're at the airport... buy junk food!! It is just so sad that they are having to worry about that kind of stuff at 13 & 11.

Well, they mom is SO not happy with us I'm sure... we didn't hold any food back from them, let them choose special stuff from the store, and they had Dairy Queen for the first time! We actually took them their twice since they asked us too.

Yesterday when they talked to their mom (for the FIRST time since they arrived 8 days ago ) she told them to get ready b/c they're going to be running 8 miles when they get home to make up for all the food they ate here :(

Another thing that was so sad, the 11yo kept commenting how "weird" it was that I would just walk up to my kiddos and give them a big hug, kiss them and tell them that I love them! I made sure that by the end of their trip I did ti to here too. That just makes me think that their parents don't do/say that to them. Man, I hug/kis my kids so may times during the day!!

Ok, ok, I guess I'll just stop now... I could go on and on.

Poor kids! I just want to hug them now:hug: But I'm sure they'll never forget what a great time they're having with you and your family.

When girls are that young they're still forming their opinion of themselves that they will most likely carry for the rest of their lives, it's horrible to make them feel like there is something wrong with themselves

I wanted to catch up on reading before I posted and that sounds crazy. :scared1: Why wouldn't she not let them eat what they want to on vacation? When we go on vacation, we kindof splurge and eat what we want. Hope yall had a good time. :woohoo:

and when in Nov???

Me - Nov 1-7 or 2-6

Liz that is so sad. Why do people do that to children. I would never tell any child they are fat. My neice is very overweight and I worry about the health issues she is going to be facing.

We all hug and kiss my DD all the freakin time. And we tell her we love her more and more.

Yesterday when they talked to their mom (for the FIRST time since they arrived 8 days ago )

I would have called them every night to see what they had done that day and to see how they were.

I know my kids are little right now so I get to hold, kiss, and hug them all the time. But when they get bigger I'm still going to kiss, hug and tell them I love them (even if they think their to big) every night. Every night I tell them that I love them.

When DS was sleeping in the bed with us (he has been in his big boy bed for almost 2 months) I always told him I love you, you have been a good boy for mama, and I'll hold you tonight. Well, now the I'll hold you tonight gets left off. When he was a baby he would wake up with in 5 minutes of putting him in the bassinet or crib. So he slept with us for 3 years.

DD has always liked sleeping in her bassinet, but lately she is starting to wake up every time I lay her down. :sad2: I don't mind holding her while she sleeps at night, but I do not want her to be 3 when she finally sleeps in her own bed. :)

Hi everyone!

Sorry I haven't been around...been busy, busy, busy with all the new responsibilities at work. I had ten hours of overtime last week (our week ends on Tuesdays) and the manager owes me 7 hours personal time!! Needless to say, it's been a very rough week.

Gotta work on reading back!
I was wondering where the heck you were!!
