I got a call yesterday morning from the school - apologizing for the late notice (gee, thanks!) but the football team was having a big scrimmage game last night and they wanted A.J. to be able to start off as water boy during the very first game. So, we went to a very hot football game last night! And A.J. did great! Better than anyone expected.

And the best part...he was so well accepted! The guys on the team treated him so great. I saw many of the guys talking to him on the sidelines during the game and after the game when both teams walked across the field to slap hands with the other team I saw the team members - not the coaches - calling him out to line up. And then after that the whole team went out to the middle of the field to do some push-ups and get their talk from the coaches. The guys - again, the guys, not the coaches - got him out there in the middle of the group and had him doing pushups with them and then he was right in the middle of this huge group of guys for the rest of the time. I was so happy for him!!!! (Yes, I cried and yes, I'm sniffling now!)

He talked about it all the way home and couldn't wait to show DH his new shirt! (DH had to work last night!) He is so happy!

Oh Kathy that is wonderful and so uplifting for AJ.

I am so glad they accepted him for who is he is. A wonderful Young man helping them out on their team.

Afternoon-another HOT one here-but it's NOT suppose to be in the triple digits(like the last 2 days)-thats not much to be thankful for though since it's up to 98 already
