I was looking at the prices of those rentals, and we could all share it & pay next to nothing if we ever all got together. There would be pleanty of room

Most of them aren't that expensive!

And although you and Kelli are both wanting to see snow, the rentals aren't for those of you that aren't prepared to drive in the snow! :rotfl: This is what those rentals look like after a good snow! Look at the car...

This is a pic of the hotel that we stayed at when we came up here to find a place to live. I was hoping to find a winter pic of the hotel but they didn't have any on their site. So, you'll just have to imagine this....

We were ready to leave and I wanted a winter picture to take back to FL. Now you have to realize it was around 11 a.m. and it had snowed since the night before. We were in a conversion van; no four-wheel drive! We started out of the parking lot and I told DH to stop about half-way down the drive so I could get out and take a pic of the water wheel. The water was completely frozen on the water wheel and it was so pretty. DH said he didn't think it was a good idea but...well, let's just say I didn't agree with him. So he stopped and I got out. Now, think about it...if that water wheel was frozen solid what else do you think was frozen...yep, the parking lot. Luckily the van stopped okay. But I took one step out of the van and whoosh - flat on my butt sliding down toward the road. I stopped just before the road! But I still had a firm hold on the camera and I got my pic! :rotfl:

I don't think so. He lived in OHIO. I think he was thinking wow we won't have to drive as far as he thought to see some good snow. :rotfl:

I would be snowed in the whole time I'm there :rotfl:

If you stay in town (like in Boone) it's not too bad 'cause they get the roads cleared off pretty quickly, unless it's a blizzard!

I couldn't even imagin a blizzard, to me a blizzard is a dessert I get at Dairy Queen :rotfl:

:rotfl: :rotfl: Imagine everything white and you can't go anywhere, not even in four-wheel drive. We had a "small" blizzard last year. DH had worked a midnight shift and it was to be the beginning of his three days off. But he called to say there was no way he could get home. About two hours later he pulled up. The Department of Transportation had stopped by the Sheriff's Office and said they were coming this way. They plowed the way for him, 14 miles, stopping two or three times to cut trees that had blocked the road!
