During the summer we like to take day trips to lake and dams in VA and TN. We especially love the east TN area.

Oh, it is so beautiful! And it changes, one time cloudy, next time sunny, sometimes with clouds hanging so low you're up in the clouds! Absolutely beautiful. I never get tired of the mountains!

We're right on the NC/TN border and I'm familiar with most of east TN. We had thought of moving there (from FL) before we ended up settling here. We didn't go to far towards the central section though.
