To all the folks staying at a resort Sunday morning, it will be well worth it to catch what will likely be the very last night time shuttle launch. There are only 4 launches scheduled after this one, and they are all day launches.
The shuttle will launch at 4:39:44 a.m. EST Sunday morning. From the resorts, look about 10 degrees north of due east. The shuttle will become visible about 25 seconds after launch.
Also, those along the Eastern seaboard can see it as well. The direction of liftoff this time takes it well north of its usual flight path, since the course is to meet the space station.
