Last minute XMAS shoppers a ?

I was wondering if you last minute Christmas shop, are you usually able to find what you want to get?

What we left to the last minute are Yankee Swap gifts for tomorrow night... so the bar for us is pretty low.

I have some food stocking stuffer type things to get and a saw (which I keep putting off). I don't foresee any problems getting either one.

I decided last minute to grab a few gifts at Walmart this morning.

I wanted, and was able to get :

2 sweatshirts for DH
1 razor for DS (he is getting fuzzy, so it will be there when he is ready to shave)
1 pillow pet for me ( )
1 stainless steel chain just in case the Mother's Ring I got my mom does not fit
1 2-pk of playing cards for DH (impulse buy)

Everything was there. I wanted the Ladybug pillow pet but they didn't have it. I happily settled for the dog. LOL

I need to get a few scratchers for DH stocking. I need to go the the store for milk and butter. But other than that I will enjoy my day out and watch all the mad dashers. Best time of year to people watch maybe xmas eve. Enjoy your day you will get it all done. Merry Christmas!!

I have actually never done last minute Christmas shopping, but I always wondered if all the "good stuff" would be gone or not. For those of you who brave that: may you be safe and be able to get everything you wanted to get.

Just in from Best Buy. My son wanted DJ Hero 2
THe parking lot was FULL, but no line up I think they have more employees than customers.
I am sure tonight will be another story. Stick a fork in me, I am DONE

I'm not normally a last minute shopper but I've been sick for the last week and I still have some things to get out but I shouldn't have any problems since they are things like Captain Underpants books, rubbermaid food storage and grocery store GCs. I make sure I get the in demand gifts early in the season to avoid a mad scramble to find them.

My dh is a very big last minute shopper (on Christmas Eve) and he can't ever find what he was thinking of getting so he goes into panic mode. I got a $100 pillow one year, since then I've been doing my own shopping from him

I dont like to do it last minute, but I dont have a car right now, so I have to wait and go with dh and he just got back Mon. from a trip, so later we will do most of the shopping for ds20, he is the only one left, so we will:

Mostly get him gift cards:
Auto store
Car Wash
Gas card
fast food cards

He wanted an American Eagle card, but I dot know if I want to go to the mall.

After work tonight I'm doing the grocery run and tomorrow I have to finish up Christmas shopping.

I was DONE shopping two weeks ago.

Now, I have remorse for going cheap on a gift. That will be fixed as soon as I leave work. I know what I am getting will be there. If not, I know I will be able to find something just as nice. I'm getting stuff for a tea drinker, so glass diffusers and such shouldn't be hard.
