Last Minute Trips and DVC

DW and I are looking at a trip to WDW in a month. We have friends who we believe we will be renting some points from but are unsure if there is a possibility of any rooms being open.

We aren't picky on where we stay but Bay Lake Tower or Animal Kingdom Lodge are most appealing.

We are planning to arrive October 3rd and leaving October 5th if anyone is able to look.

The DIS has asked that we not check availability.

What I can say is that you may luck out and if there's something that you find you should probably get it booked right away. Once F&W starts in late Sept it becomes very very difficult to book late and what you will be attempting to find is probably a last minute cancellation.

I got lucky today and got something for the first weekend of Food and Wine, but have been watching for a while for a couple of weekends in October and I have not seen much.

I tend to book late and the one time that is almost impossible is during Food and Wine.

May I ask what you were able to book? I have been checking the website daily and have only seen partial availability.

Thanks for the info didn't mean to ask for something that wasn't allowed. Our friends do everything over the phone so we will wait for them to call and check.

Even if we end up at different resorts each night we will be good with it.

Mainly it serves no purpose to look, since until they get ready to book anything shared now could be gone and it could say everything is gone and something cancel.

I just booked a full week for a 2 bedroom at OKW. Changing rooms isn't desirable to use....we have 3 small children. We leave in 27 days : )

Weekends are nearly impossible this late in the game...especially for AKL and BLT. Good luck.
