Hello, We were approved for my son's Make a Wish trip to Aulani and we are trying to go during our Spring Break the last week of March. But as I'm reading the forums I'm realizing that like all things Disney- everything needs to be booked well in advance! I already called and the cabanas are sold out the entire week we would be there. Make A Wish does alot of the planning but only for a certain amount of things. I would like to plan the rest! Should I ask for the wish to be pushed back to perhaps May so we would have a better chance of getting some reservations? A cabana would have been really nice as this is a once in a lifetime trip for us but its not a deal breaker. I just wonder if I'll run into this with Aunty's Beach Club and some of the other excursions and reservations. We don't/won't have many of the details for the trip until closer to the departure time. I'm a planner so this is a small form of torture for me! :)
Thanks!

I believe you can be put on a waiting list for the cabanas. Not sure about Aunty's but others here will know. As far as excursions go you should be good.

Keep checking back for cabanas, or get on the waiting list as PP said. We just released one for Wednesday of that week, so people's plans change as it gets closer. After reading so much about the wonderful spa, we opted for a spa day instead, and had booked two cabana days during the initial trip planning phase, so it was the right decision for us to cancel one of our reservations. Hope you have an amazing trip!

Honestly, the cabanas aren't that great. The locations are away from the pool or by the more toddler area. So if you will have kids under 5 they can be really helpful. But I wouldn't worry to much about missing out on them. Also, given that, many people who have cabana reservations cancel the night before when they get the call telling them which cabana they received so you just have to be first at the rental window to grab one which shouldn't be too difficult. Have a great trip! I say go in March. It will be a nice way to end winter!
