I am going to Anaheim next week. I have no park passes (nor do I know what the cheap options are for Disneyland passes); My hotel is paid for by my husband's company (all but three days anyway)
I need a lot of suggestions on what to do there CHEAP for 7 days. Hubbie will be in meetings all day including dinners on 1/12-1/14 but the weekend we have free. We will be there with our two girls 12 and 6. Please give me ideas. I'm used to WDW not Disneyland.

Consider buying the Southern California City Pass. For $172/adult and $129/child you get:
• 3-Day Disneyland Resort Park Hopper Ticket (valid for admission to both Disneyland park and Disney's California Adventure TM park)
• 1-Day admission ticket to Knott's Berry Farm
• 1-Day admission ticket to SeaWorld Adventure Park, San Diego
• 1-Day admission to World-Famous San Diego Zoo OR the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park

Can begin at any attraction
Valid for 14 consecutive days from day of first use.
Dates of use:4/1/04 – 3/31/05.
First day of use must occur by 3/15/05.

Child tickets valid for ages 3-9.*

Disney has two ticket offers in CA now, adult admission for kids prices or kids free with adults.

Good luck

PM me if you need help or more details, I got that info off the TA site and just booked a client with that.

Not sure where you are staying, but if you're close, the IHOP on Harbor, right outside of DL had kids eat free every day after 4pm. That should help with some meals.

Hi, I'm leaving in 3.5 hours for disneyland, if the roads cooperate. I bought my tickets from expedia they are offering the adults for kids prices special and you print the vouchers. This way you won't have to pay shipping or hope that they get here in time :cool1: Just letting you know what worked for me, hopefully the rain will go away for both of us!!!!

I believe the Costco passes are for Southern Calif. residents (though we've never been carded at the gate). Vons/Pavillions grocery store also has a So Cal promotion going - two days for the price of one. Check mousesavers.com for info on all of these promotions. For a while Costco was selling the City Passes for a reduced price - don't know if they still are or not.

If you are looking for non-Disney activities, check the Disneyland board. There are a lot posted there.

Thanks, so far all the DL deals I have seen end in April so am waiting for anything new for the 50th celebration to be released.

I am not a Costco member but $89 sure sounds good. I ordered $105 3-day passes from the travel agency listed on mousesavers. I also had to get express delivery for $15. So I figure, it will cost us about $36 per day per person. Is that fairly cheap?

OK, now that I've got passes, I need a hotel and more suggestions for food.

Everyone in my husband's offiice is staying at the Desert Palms. Is it any good?

Are there any character meals I should consider. At WDW we try to do some princess meal and usually do crystal palace and Pooh as well.

Lot's of unique character meals at DL:

Character Breakfast
Lilo & Stitch Aloha Breakfast at Disney's PCH Grill located in Disney's Paradise Pier® Hotel,
Goofy's Kitchen located in Disneyland® Hotel,
Chip 'n' Dale's Critter Breakfast at Storytellers Cafe in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel®,
A Royal Disney Princess Breakfast at Plaza Inn located in Disneyland® park.
Adults: $27.25* / Child: $14.80 (ages 3-11)

Character Lunch
Lunch at Goofy's Kitchen located in the Disneyland® Hotel,
Ariel's Grotto, featuring Captain Mickey, in Disney's California AdventureTM park.
Adults: $27.25* / Child: $14.80 (ages 3-11)

Character Dinner
Dinner at Goofy's Kitchen located in the Disneyland® Hotel,
Ariel's Grotto, featuring Captain Mickey, in Disney's California AdventureTM park.
Adults: $35.90* / Child: $16.10 (ages 3-11)

*All prices include tax and gratuity.

I don't know the exp date for the costco tickets. I also never really paid attention to the fact that they are for SoCal residents either.
I was at my Vons today and the 2fer tickets are $53-adult, one admission to each park, it was 4?.?? something for kids, it didn't seem like they were only for SoCal, but I could be wrong.

Go on the DL board here. Look up the thread on Desert Palm. You may want to move closer to the entrance of DL if tha's important to you. Down Katella I think it's the same street as your Desert Palm. There is a Hometown Buffet. It was decent bufft food. It's by the sack n save a Kmart if I remember corectlly.

I was thinking of doing that too but the current tickets expire the week before we plan to travel. I'm starting to feel like everything is against us for this trip.

i know you ordered already but here is another option for others:

http://www.getawaytoday.com/

Buy one adult 3 day pass for $139 and you get 1 childs 3 day pass for free.

From what people have posted here...doesn't seem like any deals are going to come out once the 50th nears. Disney is smart when it comes to marketing. They're not going to offer specials when they don't have too. I think they may know the publics reaction to the 50th. Someone even mentioned that now that the 50th is getting closer even this board is becoming more active. It used to be very very quiet.
