DD19 and I are going down for a quick weekend trip next week. Primary goal was to hit DAH at MK on Sat pm.

We'd also like to do DHS and AK. We land early Friday morning...like 8:30, so we will have a pretty long day to go to a park...just not RD it.

We will also do a park Saturday morning before we nap and do DAH around 7pm.

I can't decide if we should do:

Friday: DHS mid morning, break, back after dinner and stay for EMH til 12:30
Sat: AK RD

OR switch and do AK Fri and DHS EMH Sat morning. I have read that TSL is not to be missed at night, so Friday is the only opportunity for that. Thoughts?

I like plan A, but if FoP is a priority for AK, you're going to have to be up early to get to AK at least 45 min before rope drop to minimize your wait time for it. Since you're planning a nap later, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I would go with the first plan — DHS Friday night — if you’re sure you can make it through EMH that night. I’m guessing crowds (particularly with kids) will thin out by midnight and if you haven’t gotten on a Slinky yet, you’ll be able to then with a minimal wait. There are no FP during EMH, so they can move through the standby line more quickly. The wait will likely be shorter than they say it is.

I like Plan A if you don't mind the two back-to-back late nights. Late night DHS with a new land one night followed by late night MK the next night... seems like a winner. I hope when my kids are 19 they'll still come with me when I want to do things like that!

We just booked a last-minute trip to take advantage of the Passholder event at MK on Aug. 5. We're flying in Friday night - land around 9 --and are heading straight to DHS for EMH until 12:30. We're sleeping in a bit and then hitting up AK (skipping FOP) mid-morning before taking a break and then going to DAH Saturday night. Sleeping in Sunday before heading to Epcot late morning. We'll take a break and then go to the Passholder event at MK that night. Then back on a flight Monday morning!

Thanks everyone! I am sure it will be exhausting with 2 early mornings and 2 late nights for this old lady (ha!) but hopefully the naps will help. And it is disney...we can sleep at home!

It is awesome she still loves to come. She esp loves that her much younger siblings are staying home, haha!

Our paths will be crossing alot! I was hoping to do Epcot Sunday too, and take a late night flight home, but DH has to be across the state for a meeting Monday morning, so we fly home around 3pm. I think we will be grateful for a leisurely morning that day.
