Is this a legit site? I see the Disneyland tickets are cheaper than on the DL website butI havent heard anything about them. Has anyone on here used them with success?

TIA!!!

We used them last summer for our DL tickets, and they were fine. I know there were quite a few of us using them last summer, and the response seemed pretty good.

We used them and didn't have any problems with picking them up like some people. However, we were charged a foreign transaction fee by our credit card and that was unexpected.

You were, SpecialKs? I wonder how they figured out who to charge that to? We weren't charged, but now that you say that, I do remember some people mentioning that....

Our credit card charges us for using our card internationally. Obviously, the card processor who LMT uses is based internationally and that is how it came through to our visa. If you have a credit card that has no foreign transaction fees, then it wouldn't be a problem for you.

If you are charged the fee as described above by specialks, LMT will reimburse you. If you are charged, I would contact them by phone to get the exact and current instructions for getting a reimbursement. I was not charged the fee, but my sister was.

Based on my experience last November, be aware that you will receive a confirmation email from them as soon as you place your order, but that is not the voucher you use to exchange for tickets at the park. That will arrive in your email much closer to the actual date of your trip (determined by what days you input into the system when you ordered your tickets). You might want to fudge by a week or so (on the early side) so there's the comfort factor that the email with your vouchers shows up in plenty of time.

All in all, though, we found LMT to be reputable and had no problems -- especially when we were aware of the little issues/tricks that sometimes come up. If I hadn't upgraded to an annual pass, I would be using them again for this year's trip. OH, another benefit of using LMT tickets is that when it came to exchange them for an AP, we got the full Disney on-line price applied to the APs, not the discounted LMT price. Just saying . . . :cool2: (And we pointed out the difference to the CM at the ticket booth, but they gave us the higher value anyway.)

That is very interesting that LMT was charging you in another currency, because on there site they use this international sybol $. It means US dollars.

All in all you aren't going to save money using LMT because they may add fees and may be making thier money from you in an indirect manner.

What showed up on our credit cards was the exact amount for which we placed our order--in US dollars. If your bank does charge you the international fee, LMT will reimburse you. Seems to me if LMT is (1) charging your account for the exact US dollar amount you expected to pay, and (2) reimbursing you if your bank charges the international fee, then they aren't making money "from you" in an indirect manner.

I'll have to look into it some since we went last Dec and bought our tickets prior to that. I still think it is a little wrong that it isn't disclosed because unless you really dissect your credit card every month you might miss the extra fee. Then you are stuck having to follow up to get the reimbursement. I was just giving the OP my personal experience with LMT.

You apparently have no idea of the indirect manner I'm thinking of.

If LMT states $ and isn't charging you in $ they owe it to you to refund the difference, because they are otherwise falsely advertising and stealing from you.

Overall for many people LMT works, for some it doesn't. Try looking up LMT and scams and you will find results.

Guess not.

Umm, I was charged in USD, and in the exact amount expected -- which was a savings over anywhere else I could purchase tickets.

Agreed. And that would be why I am pointing out to the OP all of the ins and outs of using LMT, so they are in the know -- As in watch out for the fee, and if the purchaser's bank charges the fee, LMT will refund it.

They are charging you in American Dollars. The issue is that their payment processor/bank is located in the UK. Some banks/credit cards charge you a fee to use your card internationally, which is where the fee comes into place. It's not a fee that is then forwarded on to LMT, it's kept by YOUR financial institution/credit card company.

Personally, I've used LMT both to purchase DL tix and for a hotel and have never encountered a problem with them. I've used my Bank of America Visa and was not charged a fee, so I hope this helps someone out :)

Also, look up any travel website and scam and you will find hits. I found more hits for Priceline and Scam than LMT and scam, so just because it's on the internet doesn't make it true....

So your whole post is a lie? Oh ok then.

No matter what, if they say dollars and charge you in another currency, then it's their responsability to deal with it or suffer the consequences. This is a fact and not my opinion.

One more time -- LMT is not charging you in foreign currency -- unless you want to tell me that the exchange rate is dollar for dollar/whatever, so the amount charged equals exactly what we expected to pay in USD.

The fee we are talking about is what is charged by an individual's bank, and whether they charge that fee varies from bank to bank. Take it from those of us who have actually used LMT.

None of my posts are in reference to yours. I just wanted to make sure all of the facts were out there so people could make an informed choice based on what they were comfortable with.

Are you dense? They are not charging you in a foreign currency. It is a fee charged by your bank/credit card company for using your card internationally. It is not a conversion fee.

Here, maybe this link will better explain it to you: http://www.travelfinances.com/Services/Foreign-Transaction-Fees-Explained.htm

Umm, look at post #8... you quoted my 2 comments so how is the above statement true?

I'm sorry -- I see how my post was unclear. In reality, I completely agree with your two comments!

I was just making sure that if anyone decided to use LMT and was charged an extra fee, that they knew they could contact LMT and ask for a refund. I used the comments from your posts to reference the fee they were charging so they would understand what was being charged. Sorry!

I used LMT last July ~ PHs and character meal vouchers. My credit union charged me a fee *I paid using my Visa Debit card* LMT reimbursed me which I think was quite nice - they didn't have to, they didn't charge me the seperate fee. I chose to make a purchase from a foreign business.
