Last minute tickets to Cirque?

Has anyone had success getting Cirque tickets on the day of performance, just by walking up to the window at DTD and asking about availability?

My in-laws are joining us in April (19th to 26th) and I know my MIL would love to see Cirque, but they are not the type to commit to any pre-booking, or planning anything in advance. Everything must be spur of the moment for them.

What are our chances for last minute tickets? I'm guessing there must be no-shows at times? Any tips for how to score last minute tickets would be most appreciated. For example, does anyone know what time they start releasing tickets that were reserved but not collected? Might it be easier to get last minute seats for the early or late performance?

They are normally late-night types, but since they'll be jet-lagged (flying in from Denmark), it probably won't matter if it's the earlier one. Also, while there are four of us (DH, me, MIL, FIL), if we can only get 2 last-minute tickets, I'm sure the men would be willing to waste 90 minutes in DTD while the ladies saw the show.

Over the Feb 17 to 21 weekend this year we walked up and got 2 tickets about 1-1 1/2 hours before the show. They were NOT the best seats.... they were "Limited View" seats, and we lost about 1/5 or less of the far side of the stage we were seated on. We did save a bit of money, and it was not the first time we saw the show,so it was fine...
However, if we had wanted the next night we could have gotten better seats. Not great, but the way the theater is set up, there are really few bad seats. Even the limited view were better then some regular seats I have had at other venues.
It will all depend on the crowd level at WDW. You can order on line now if you want to make sure you get in.
Loved the show! Hope you get to go and have fun!

I was at WDW with my son a couple of years ago and we walked up and bought tickets the same day. Our seats were fine. It was not our first time seeing the show.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like it is possible then. It won't kill us to miss it, but would certainly be enjoyable if we just happened to be in the area one day and managed to get tickets.
