Last minute stay at CBR

I had to find a place fast for us tomorrow night and found a preferred room at CBR. Our flight gets in at 6 and I don't like the choices for dinner at CBR. DS (5) will be well rested by the time we get to resort. What do we do? Where do we go? We'll have plenty of time for the pool in the AM but I want to do something fun for dinner - show fam the Disney Spirit?!?!? I'd love to do Hoop-Dee-Doo Review but others have mentioned we may not make 9:30 show if our plane lands at 6-6:30? PLEASE help - I haven't been to WDW in 30 years and DH and DS have never been. Don't want to spend first night at the pool. Someone mentioned DTD before - maybe T-Rex Restaurant? I've got too much going through my head to think clearly being that we leave for the airport in 12 hours! YIKES!

I am not sure if I missed your leaving.. you want something Disney. Are you planning on going into a park to dine? We love to go to Teppan Edo in Epcot's Japan pavillion.. the chefs cook in front of you, you sit around the big stoves.. lots of people, good fresh food prepared in a little show by the Chef.. our kids have always loved this restaurant and now even as adults when they come with us, they always want to eat there.. If you time it right, you can come out and view illuminations..

For resort dining, I always recommend Citrico's.....fine dining at the Grand Floridian, but only open certain evenings..... Weds through Sunday, 5:30 to 9:00pm, come out and watch illuminations from the Beach at the GF...not sure how the viewing is from there or you could walk the pleasant walk to the Poly and watch from their beach.. I like Spoodles on the Boardwalk, and then if you do not want to go into a park, you could hang around the Boardwalk, resort shop, and maybe catch some of the fireworks from the bridge that goes across close to the International Gateway, the back door to Epcot.
