Are you staying more than 3 nights? I called again today and was told that the APH was only for stays of 3 days or more. We are only there 2, April 29th and 30th. I want the discount!!!! :badpc: lol

Could you book 3 nights and cancel one, keeping the rate you want?

I have done that to get a discounted rate. Just book it and then call RPR directly. The person that helped me was happy to drop a night off my stay for me.

I'll give that a try today! Do you think if I cancel the last day they will just charge me the higher rate anyway when I check out? I guess I'd be no worse off if they did since I have the higher rate now. I'll try it, thanks! :flower:

Wonderful news!! I'm going to try that today. Wish me luck, we are very excited about staying onsite this year but would love a better rate then we have!

I originally had 5 nights at annual pass rate, I then called them back and asked if I could reduce my stay by a day but keep the rate I already had, they were very nice to do that for me and allowed me to keep my great rate.

I called today and was able to get a rate of $159 for April 29th and 30th, I did have to add May 1 to the reservation to get the price. Now if I can just cancel the May 1 date wihout penalty I'll be SO happy! I'm going to give it a few days before I cancel and we'll see what they say. I'll be sure and call RPH direct before my 5 day cancellation window. Heres hoping :bitelip:

and thanks for the tips everyone, I appreciate the help!!

I did the same thing, added May 1st to get the discounted rate. From $234 to $159... Now, let's hope I can drop May 1st and keep the same rate...

RyGuy: How long did you wait to call and change your reservation?

I have mayy 22 for 5 nights at RPR at $139.00 rate standard view tried to drop last night and told I couldn't because it has to be a 5 night stay also told had another date in may, same price and told I can only stay 3 nights at that rate no more no less .let me know if anybody can drop
maria

Well, they would not allow me to drop one night without reverting to the original rate. You have to stay a minimum of three nights. Either way, this rate for three nights will still be cheaper than staying the original two nights. We are just going to pay for it and check out in the evening instead of in the morning. It gives us more relaxing time at the pools and at the parks on the last day of our vacation.

Did you call the hotel directly Floridamom? I'm sorry to hear they told you no! Sounds like you will make the best of it though. We don't have the option of staying an extra day so it looks like the $234 a night is our rate.

Just an update here. I was able to call RPR directly and drop my extra day with no penalty. The person who helped me specifically said "no change in rate!" We originally had a rate of $234 per night, now we are at $159. A savings of $150!!

A big Thank You to Mother Fletcher, Jessica R, and RYGuy for their posts, they were very helpful!

Can you tell me which number you used and do you remember the name of whom you talked to?
