Last Minute Room at BCV!

I called MS this morning on the chance to see about switching my 3 nights at OKW to BCV next week...they had both BCV and BWV studios available!

As much as I love OKW, I felt it would be better for my first solo trip to have the convenience of location, even more so since I won't be renting a car.

I've changed every aspect of my trip these last few days, but now it is set:

Sept. 24-26: Grand Floridian (at a nice AP discount)
Sept. 26-29th: BVC, Studio

I can't believe it: I'll be at WDW in just about 72 hours!!

Glad it worked out for you. Wish I was going too! We're still waiting to take our first trip "home." Had to rent out all our first year's points. Anyway, sounds like you have a great trip ahead of you.

JonathanS, just to let you know that I think you made an excellent choice. BCV is my favorite solo resort-we bought a 100 point add-on just to fund my solo trips. I think OKW is the best place when DH and I go together-so peaceful and relasing, but when I go solo, it's definitely BCV!

Lol, My thoughts exactly Simba's Mom. OKW is wonderful because it takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Disney. But for my solo trip, I actually want the hustle around me.

I was surprised I got it: They had nothing last week when I first booked, and nothing last Friday either. I'm guessing there are often last minute cancellations. It goes to show...keep trying!

We LOVE the size of the OKW rooms, but 2 queens and no sofa is not nearly as nice as a queen and a sofa when you are going solo, IMHO. So I think your choice of BCV over OKW was a good one.

First, congratulations on getting the resort you wanted and have a fun trip!

Secondly, thank you so much for posting this! We are arriving on Sunday and my sister booked last minute (just became a member in August) so all she could get was VWL - we are at BWV. So after I read your post, I hurried and called MS and lo and behold - was able to get my sister a 1 bedroom for 5 nights at BWV starting on sunday!!

So thank you very much!!
