Last minute ressie for Beach Club

How unlikely is it to obtain a last minute reservation for the Beach Club if I book in May '05 for a trip at the end of June '05??? Would I be put on a waiting list?? We have the possibility of a business trip, but will not know until probably May.

My guess would be that you'd have to waitlist, but then it all depends on how long you're talking about and luck IMO. If you're looking for a week ~ I'd say you're more than likely to end up on a waitlist. If you're looking for only 2 or 3 nights for a long weekend or just a few days, you may not have nearly as much of a problem and/or may luck out due to someone else's having canceled. Ya just never know. May isn't overly crazy busy time for DVC (not like Oct.-Dec.) but it is prime time pool weather for SAB so.....try it. Just make sure you have a few back up choices. If you can be flexible, you will have no problem getting a ressie at a DVC but as for BCV's it's probably a 50/50 % chance.

If you have the points available, make the ressie now, then if the business trip it does not materialize, then cancel at 31 days out (otherwise, you've got the dreaded Holding Account ). Of course, if you have other plans for those points, there would be no point doing this if there is only an off chance for this business trip.
