I am going "home" tomorrow!!:cool1::cool1:
I originally had a Studio at AKV and have been looking on DVC site every day for a month to see if a studio at BWV opened up, and until this morning I had no luck :( As much as I love AKV, for this trip BWV makes more sense since I'm participating in the D23 member event Sunday and Monday and the first morning it takes place in EPCOT and the last evening it ends in DHS, so the location at BW makes the to and from so much easier :lmao:

This morning I went onto DVC site and lo and behold there was a studio at BWV coming in tomorrow for my three nights!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!

I called Member Services and had them cancel my AKV and book the BWV. I had to borrow 2 little points from next year to cover the difference.

Question:

I'm afraid I'm going to get there and the reservation won't be in the system!:scared1::scared1: or the change won't show! :scared1::scared1: should I worry???? They have to have a room for me if I have the printed confirmation, right??:scared1::scared1:

I hope so! Can't wait to be home again :cool1:

I have booked last minute, I don't want to go home yet ;) reservations online without a problem. I always check with MS after booking to make sure the reservation is valid. Sounds like you actually booked on the phone directly with MS, so, I would not worry about it. Last time I did that (last May :rolleyes1) we ended up in an accessible studio, since it was the only room they had available, but, MS had warned me when I called and it had the most amazing view we have ever had at the Boardwalk.

Have fun!

You should see the new reservation on line. Check it out, and call if it is not correct.

At the beginning of November we were due to leave Disney on the 12th. We always walk around DTD before we take the long drive home to get out last fill of Earl of Sandwich and buy anything we forgot. As we were walking around this time the end of vacation depression kicked in BIG TIME! I called Member Services while standing at the Lego Store and booked us a room at BLT for that night. We arrived at BLT about 30 mins later with our names and reservation were all in the system waiting for us at the front desk.

I think your reservation should be ok :goodvibes.

So if you are changing resorts at the last minute this isn't considered a cancellation at the original resort where you could lose those points?

the points go into holding since its within 30days, you dont lose them. then those holding points are used for the new reservation. we just did this for our upcoming trip in a week. we had one day booked at WL then the rest of the week at AKL. yesterday, we found 2 days together ar SSR so i cancelled WL (points went into holding) and then booked SSR using those points. I think the only restriction with holding points is they must be used in the use year they originated.

If it was the morning of, it might be considered a cancellation and points might be forfeited. But this was made the day before.

Good to know. Our trips are usually VGC so not many trading options, but our next WDW trip I will keep this in mind.
