Ok. I am leaving on Friday for 8 days at Disney World with my 2 and 3 year old daughters. I've got my digital camera, a brand new fancy telephoto lens, and all ready to take 1000+ photos of my girls as they discover Disney World for the first time.

And wouldn't you know it. Guess what happened on Saturday.

My 3 year old decided to play "hair stylist" and cut her 2 year old sister's hair. AHHHH!

Mostly on the side. Can't really hide it well. But I guess it could be a lot worse.

Anyone with similar experiences?

Well, hasn't everyone does that at least once? So sorry it happened right before your trip.

I have learned (now that I have a son :) ) that whether it is the look you would choose or not, you will capture a moment in time that shows what they were up to then. A couple of years ago I had DD and DS scheduled for a photo sitting and the night before the pictures DS was fooling around, when I asked him to stop no less, and wound up with a HUGE rug burn right in the middle of his forehead. Of course, by morning it was just a huge scab in the middle of his forehead! We thought about canceling, but went ahead and took the pictures scab and all. Now, I am really glad we did because I will never capture that moment again (it is always easier looking back than living through it!).

Have a great trip!

Can't say I've had a similare experience, but if it were me I'd probably have her try on a baseball hat. It would also help keep the sun out of her eyes.

Oh, no!!

At least it's not too noticeable.

A few weeks ago, my 7 year old (yes, seven!!) cut his hair, right in the front. I'm still waiting for it to grow out & be even again. :sad2:

THIS is the sort of stuff you want pictures of! Not the children when they're perfect, but the children when they're making a memory that you can taunt them with into their adulthood!

I have pics of my son with bite marks on the face that his sister gave him, and pics of him with full-body road rash after taking a header off his bike going very fast downhill, and pics of my daughter screaming bloody murder at Santa.

My mother hates the proofs of the professional shots she had done of me when I was a baby. I wept and looked pathetic through the whole thing. She gave them to me. I love them.
