13 days and counting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although we are in a vila, on the the 26th October we are going to MNSSHP, and then I have booked the MK Family Tour for the following day, and we need to be at MK for 9.45am.

So, I am now considering 'treating' everyone for a night on-site,as I think it will be easier on the kids, and me!

I have looked on the Disney website and booking a room doesn't seem to much of a problem, but I'm looking for advice on which resort to choose.

I was looking at the AKL Savannah room, but maybe I'm going a bit over the top for the sake of 1 day.

We will probably spend the day of the 26th at the hotel pool, and then go to MK around 5pm.

Any advice would be fantastic.

Rgds
Stephen

PS: Cases are down from the loft, so the holiday must be nearly here

As both events are at the MK why not look at one of the MK resorts -

Polynesian
Contemporary
Grand Floridian

All on the resort monorail so easy to get to MK.

or even Wilderness Lodge :)

If you don't want to go OTT on price then the Wilderness Lodge is very nice and it has a boat rise to MK. WL has a lovley pool so get there early in the day to sample it and the whole theme of the hotel.

Lovely idea! :thumbsup2 I'm v lazy so would possibly go for one of the MK resorts - prob the Poly (I am v biased - the upgraded rooms are gorgeous and the view across the Seven Seas Lagoon to the MK is just beautiful) or maybe Wilderness Lodge. It just makes the journey back and forth to MK so much easier... :)

Definately to cut out some travelling and maximising the time at the resort I would choose one in the MK area :)

I agree, i would pick one in the NK area to cut out some travelling. The cheapest of the bunch would be the WL, and its a lovely hotel and a short boat ride away from the MK!

If you're thinking of the WL check out www.findorlandorooms.com-they sometimes do special offers on the rack rates.

Oh and of you're going to book through a Disney website check prices on the UK and USA sites before you book as one is sometimes cheaper than the other...

Bearing in mind that your plans are centred around MK, I would agree with the others and suggest one of the monorail resorts or Wilderness Lodge.

Animal Kingdom Lodge is gorgeous but it's very far away from MK so you'd spend more time travelling than at the other resorts.

Although the Contemporary is not as lushly (is that a word??) themed as the others, it has the advantage of you being able to walk to Magic Kingdom. It took me 7 minutes, but with kids a little longer I suppose. A tower room with MK view could be cool, and the refurbished rooms are very nice looking.

WL has a lovely pool area but no monorail. The boat launch is a nice ride though. The lobby is stunning!

Whichever you choose, each deluxe has its own plus points and I'm sure you won't regret your choice.

Thanks guys,

I've booked the Wilderness Lodge, looks fab.

Cost me £160 for the room, which is £40 each, which I don't think is bad. (unless someone is going to tell me otherwise??)

Anyone know the check-in and check-out rules?

Can we leave the car all day at WL whilst we go to MK, after we have checked out?

What time can be turn up to use the pool?

I am keep this a secret from the kids, so what with this, MNSSHP and then the MK family tour, it should be a fantastic ending to a magical holiday.

Thanks again
Stephen

Check-in from 4pm and check-out by 11am. They're usually pretty accomodating of your needs so even if your room's not ready, you'll be able to use the facilities. Last year we checked out of the Grand Floridian at 11am and left our bags with Guest Services as we had a lunchtime ADR in MK. We picked up our bags and car around 3-ish - no problem... :)

Have a wonderful time! :cheer2:

Sounds great! :thumbsup2

Although your room may not be ready you can check in as early as you like to use the facilities and again when you leave then can also park til later in the day :)

Just wantde to say that I think this sounds fantastic. i was going to vote for the Polynesian but WL is good too. Might see you at the party on the 26th, BTW the family magic tour is a lot of fun but you will have to join in, be warned :teeth:
