So we're finally leaving tonight for our Magic Cruise tomorrow and I have a last minute question:

How much cash do you recommend we bring? I know enough for the porters, drivers, room service, taxi cabs, etc. But do we tip with cash at Palo? What about Palo's service charge? What about the final tips given at the end of the cruise? Are those tips supposed to be in cash or can we add it to our bill?

We're 2 adults travelling without children. Is $300 enough? $500 maybe? Please advise!!! I know ATM's are nowhere to be found on the ship.

Thanks so much for all of your help in preparing for our first Disney Cruise! :)

Hi Sasha! The ONLY things you will need cash for on the ship (everything else can be charged to your room):

Room service tips
Tips for porters
Stamps/postcards at post office in Castaway Cay

That's it! I usually bring a stack of ones for the room service tips and tip the porters $5-$10 on each end at the port, depending upon the number of bags.

Have a great trip! :)

Michelle is correct - those are the only items you need to have cash for - everything else can be charged to your "Key to the World" card which is the same card that opens your stateroom door. Palo's service charge is automatically placed on your final bill. Be sure to register a credit card at guest services to save the end of the cruise "rush" of settling your bill. Final tips can also be charged to your card - they in turn give you tip vouchers that you can present to your servers on the final night.
