....is it ok with guidelines to post it on the board, in hopes our Disney trip cancellation will be someone else's good fortune? It's a great deal.

(I've lurked for years, doing all my research and learning here. But only now I register to post, because I feel so bad about canceling our Oct trip, that I hope the really neat owners will be compensated for the space we have been taking up on their calendar.)

It would be against the rules to advertise here.

TBH, when a brand new member posts something like this, it sends up all kinds of red flags. If the owners of the condo are refunding your money, then it's a loss that they are willing to accept. If they can only refund the money IF they can find someone else to rent for your dates, then you're basically advertising for someone to get you off of the hook.

I agree with Marionnette. It would be best to contact a moderator or board owner to ask before posting.

The Budget Board of the DIS is kind of the stepchild forum in terms of Moderator attention. Most of the Condo/House Rental etc action takes place in the Orlando Hotels and Attractions forum. But being a years long lurker and researcher you've probably seen the posts there.

I haven't been reading enough to know whether saying I am causing an opening would be an ad or not, this would have been our first stay off site. Yes, I do get all my money back, regardless. I just really learned to like the owner, and wanted to 'pay it forward'.
