Last Minute Encouragement

We had booked a 1BR last week for 8/23 - 8/28 and we just decided to try and switch it to two studios as one more person wanted to come. I called this morning and they had everything but one nt. - called back a couple hours later and was able to get everything I wanted. So, there is hope for last minute stuff.

Which resort were you booking?

I think most people who indicate that last minute reservations are difficult are talking about the busier DVC times. The end of August is probably one of the "easier" times since all the schools are pretty much back in session by then.

Still, it's great to know that the possibility does exist for last minute opportunities.

I called this morning and got SSR studio, but would like to try for VWL (I haven't been to either of these)....

When I called at 8 a.m. for 8/21/ - 8/26, I was told that only SSR was available for my dates.

But I might try one more time tomorrow

you can - I have gotten last minute in March, April, May, July, Sept.

this time it was Sept wanted BWV standard view studios - 2 of them - first time no availability call back on Monday and they had them.

We have always been fortunate in our late ressies! Though, I think is much more difficult with all the renting going on. Looks like that may change soon.

I switched for a 1BR to two studios at the BW - when i originally booked the studios were not there but they became available a few days later.
