Last Minute Disney Trip Questions

Hi there!! So my son turns 9 in 2 weeks and my husband and I have decided to bite the bullet and get annual passes for our family. We are florida residents and live about 40 mins away from Disney World. We are thinking about spending 2 nights on property. Here is my question... I know that with the Annual Pass they can not give you the Magic Band at the park you have to wait for it to be mailed to you. If we decide to stay on property would we get magic bands at check in or do they have to be mailed to you?

Also when children under 3 are on a room reservation do they get their own magic band? Or is it only the ticketed people?

Not sure about the annual pass question but I know my son was under 2 on our last trip when we stayed on property and he got his own magic band...not that he really could do anything with it though, lol, and he didn't want to wear it either...but yeah kids under 3 if they are on the resort reservation and on your MDE account then I believe they do get a magic band.

I got my magic bands beforehand, but we aren't annual passholders...I know you can get magic bands at the resort but if you do it that way you just get the boring gray bands I believe. If you order them through the mail you can get a colored 1.

AP bands will be mailed after you buy the AP and select the bands in MDE.

You will get bands for everyone listed on the hotel reservation mailed to you if you are booking 4-5 weeks out, they will be at the front desk if you are booking less than a month out.

And because of that, everyone in our family has like 3-4 MBs - usually because someone can't find their MB from the last trip, etc etc. And then it turns up later. But yes, with a hotel reservation everyone on the reservation, including infants, can get one. We got one for YDD (3 mo) last time for a number of reasons (it can also function as an extra key, which is helpful if you have a sitter come)

Agree with others. You will get one set for your resort stay and one set for your annual passes. So you will end up with 2 sets. The 2 y/o will get one with the resort stay so you'll be good! Last trip I switched around Magic Bands based on which coordinated with my outfit best ha! We have 4 or 5 each now and they all still work.

Oh wow so they all the magic bands will have the same information I was afraid that we would have to them straight. This is awesome that you can mix and match

We are AP holders and we stayed on site when we turned our vouchers in for our APs. We got a set of bands for our onsite stay in the mail prior to the stay, but we didn't get AP bands mailed to us. We had connected our vouchers to our MDE account to make FP+s so that may be why. Yes, for the hotel ressie all members even those under 3 will get bands. Our 20 mo. old daughter got one.
