The
DCL web site has a section where they list cruises "as low as" and list specials there. Any TA can book the special last minute discount rates for you...you just get your documents at the port. Many on line TA's list them. One that I like to check is
www.vacationstogo.com under "find a bargain." Just select DCL or Disney Magic and they will list current prices, updated daily.
The FL newspapers might be listing FL resident rates....great if you qualify.
I booked one cruise on 48 hours notice...booked on Thurs, left on Sat. Everything went smoothly. Even if I find the rate on line, I can book it directly thru DCL or thru a local TA. The only way one TA will have a lower price than another is if their agency has purchased a block of cabins and is desperately trying to unload unsold inventory as cruise time occurs or if they give you a rebate on part of their fee. Otherwise, as far as I've been able to tell, all TAs booking thru DCL get the same rates. I've even seen ads in magazines, etc. for one agency and called my TA to ask if she can match the deal--she always can, and can sometimes even do better than the ad!
