Last Minute Deals?

We are headed to the world next week. When I made my reservation.... I got some kind of package deal that made it an awesome price. It was not s/d/p. We are going with another family, that decided to stay off site. Now they are thinking maybe... staying onsite.

When I called the cm, (who by the way was very onry) told me that there is no availability at any value next week. And told me there are no specials, no discounts, nothing.

I realize it is last minute but, it is supposed to be a slower time. I find it hard to believe that none of the values have any rooms at all.

Is it normal for Disney to not have any last minute specials to book unused inventory etc? I find it hard to believe that I am the first person to call wanting to book last minute reservation. Maybe I just got a cm who woke up on the wrong side of the bed, she really was onry. Or is last minute to Disney 8 weeks out?

It's the week after marathon. At lot of people might be staying for the week after the race.

I think the only special offer right now is the 30% off starting Feb 18th.

On the Disney's website though, I just checked for check in next week on the 13th, 7 nights, ASMu was $867 room only. ASM is showing availability too. Maybe you had a poopy CM.

Oooh, Oooh, look for last minute DVC point rentals. Recently, there have been some people posting deal that have to be used by the end of the month.
