My mate has just decided she would like to tag along with us at the end of August.

She has £800 saved already, is there any chance she can pick up a cheap flight (and I mean cheap) before we go, she still has to book a cheap hotel within this budget.

Can she do it or is it an impossible dream.

If any one has any advice or information to add please do. I'm too stressed out just dealing with my own holiday arrangements at the moment.

I've told her I will ask the experts (I mean you guys) if you can help.

At a guess id imagine it will be pretty close to that budget. What dates would it be for, and would she mind flying indirect. Also where would the hotel be that she stays in and what airport flying out from? 2 weeks or 1 week?

Is she going to spend days with you at the parks? How will she get there? If she is using a hotel shuttle, you need to check that the hotel she is looking at offers this service.

Personally, I don't think that bargain flights, cheap hotel and food plus a little spending money (and park tix if applicable), travel insurance and any other little incidental expeses are going to come in anywhere near and £800 budget. I would double it. Sorry. Maybe I just spend too much, but I don't see any point getting her hopes up. If she is going alone she doesn't want to be staying just anywhere either, if you know what I mean.

She wants to stay at same hotel as us (quality inn plaza) or nearby. Not fusssed about disney park tickets, may only go to seaworld/busch gardens.

End of August dated 28th onwards for 14 nites, and she will need transfers.

Travel insurance sorted and about $600 spending money. And before you say thats not enough spending money its all she can afford.

Believe me she will spend that money wisely and still come home with some.

DO You think the flights will come down in price near the date?

$600 spending money will be plenty for one person. If wise, she will pay for her food from that too if she isn't one to splash out. I felt awful after I posted because I didn't want to burst her bubble, but I had to be honest and realistic. So after the $600 spending, is the £800 for flights and accommodation (the $600 doesn't come out of the 800 does it?)

I also meant to ask if she is going to be able to put any more aside. You said she had saved £800 so far. Is she still going to add to that during August? I wasn't quite clear on that.

Yeah sorry, i was thinking the £800 was for flights and hotel, if that is including her spending money it wouldnt be possible, the flight and hotel would just not drop enough to be able to cover that.
Like tiggies said $600 isnt a bad amount for 1 person aslong as she is carefull with her spending.

£740 roughly if you use the quidico cashback. Then you just need transport from sanford.
