If you called a week before your trip and asked if say CSR had a suite available do you think you'd get some kind of deal on it? Would they let you switch your MYW pkg to that (your not canceling)...just wondering. We can't afford the suites at CSR, but we'd love to go back there....but our dtr is 3 now. Just curious...

Not likely. Have you considered two connecting rooms at CSR, or one of the Family Suites at All Star Music?

FWIW, we had connecting rooms at CSR last fall and we enjoyed them as much as a suite. Having two of everything worked out well for our family group, and cheaper than a suite at that time. The only glitch is that apparently connecting rooms may not be guaranteed. (A persuasive travel agent might be able to get that on your confirmation/reservation?)

We also really liked CSR but found the grounds a bit spread out. We were travelling with a family member who has medical issues, and even our request to be close to El Centro for medical reasons wasn't able to be met. As a back up, we had a rental car available (which would seat 4 of the 9 in the group), and used that when needed.

Connecting rooms at value resorts might suit you too, if you're interested in trying those. Alternatively renting points for a one bedroom Disney Vacation Club property could be cheaper than a single room at a moderate hotel - so that could be an option for you as well. If you'd be doing a week, a nice combo might be 5 nights' rental (Sun-Thur are much cheaper than Fri/Sat nights), then 2 nights of connecting rooms at a value or moderate resort.

Hope that helps,
